Elisa is back at the hospital after her maternity leave but finds being separated from her daughter Elena difficult. Mario has disappeared after saving Diana's life, so Eva, the new SAMUR nurse, arrives and Lucas becomes her partner. Laura tells Javier that it's been years since they started working together and they have never met out of the hospital.

Mario is still missing and the police are investigating his disappearance. A woman who had breast cancer suffers another bout of it and Elisa is afraid of being in the same situation. Eva uses her free time to learn things in Urgencia with Laura, and Esther doesn't like her attitude because she is a nurse and not still a doctor. Aimé starts to make changes in the hospital. Javier suffers a holdup and then must attend the robber, who finally dies because Sotomayor doesn't tend him diligently enough.

Cristina organizes a workshop for nurses and assistants that provokes the first argument between Eva and Esther, who doesn't like the attitude of the SAMUR's nurse (that is on the verge of finishing her career of Medicine). The investigation of Mario's disappearance continues, but there's no new evidence. Elisa is afraid of the possibility that she could get cancer again. Javier is readmitted at the hospital and continues his relationship with Laura.

Mario is still missing and Vilches and Lucas try to discover what has happened while Diana assures them that Gonzalo is alive. Prada presses Santigo to reduce expenses and Aimé feels controlled by the hospital's director and tells Javier that Laura has asked for a scholarship to finish her residency in the USA. Andrea isn't sure about her future with Seró, because he is never available when she needs him because of his wife and daughter. Elisa tells Teresa that she is thinking about asking to have her hours reduced. She feels that she is spending little time with her ...

It's Santiago's first night taking care of Hugo while Cristina is working, so she's a bit nervous and confesses it to Elisa, who uses this to her advantage and asks her ex-husband's current partner about her experience as a single mother. Andrea has decided to split with Seró--the same day he leaves his wife. Laura is not at her best and wants to leave the hospital to experience something new. Laura has received a scholarship and is going to the USA for some months. Javier doesn't like her decision to leave; neither does Vilches, who is very hard on her because he thinks that the resident hasn't finished her formation. A patient says that someone has abused her and Prada wants to silence the case but Cristina believes that the woman is telling the truth. Andrea is very excited for the article she's writing about a medical study, but this is suppressed for a case of rejection of the medicine; Seró convinces her to follow, but Santiago thinks that is not an ...

Fran has asked for a place in the SAMUR as Mario's substitute; Vilches doesn't agree, thinking it's too soon. Javier is very sad after Laura's goodbye at the airport and everybody tries to make him forget. Cristina's son's teachers complain about his behavior in school. Andrea suspects that Seró's brother married his wife Gladis because she was able to give him a liver. The SAMUR team attends a plane accident and Eva's teacher is one of the passengers. Elisa finds out that there were many cases of cancer in the hospital in the past few years and asks Santiago to ...

Gladis is not sure about the intervention and Andrea encourages her not to do it; finally Seró's sister-in-law is operated on and dies. There are problems with the new nurses and auxiliaries in the hospital because they don't seem to be prepared to do their work; one of them is Queca, who receives Rusti's help. Teresa receives flowers from an admirer and is very happy, although she doesn't know who it could be. Sonia, Vilches's ex-girlfriend, suffers an accident and loses the baby she was expecting. Javier is in a bad way after Laura's departure and starts taking pills that increase his aggressiveness; Eva is worried but he doesn't let her help him. Cristina thinks that Elisa wants to concentrate on Santiago's attention and sees obsessed with cancer and radioactivity in the hospital. Aimé meets with his ex-wife and her parents and Vilches takes charge of Urgencia in his absence. Teresa discovers that it wasn't her husband who sent flowers to her each week.

Vilches' friend's son Ricardo is in the hospital and Vilches and Andrea find out that the boy suffers from leukemia and his parents don't know how to behave with him. Javier has a patient who is dying, an adorable woman who is all alone. The doctor keeps her company in her last hours. Cristina suspects that Santiago doesn't want to be a father figure to her son Hugo, she she is angry with him. Rusti is interested in Queca but doesn't know how to tell her; Teresa helps him out but Esther begins to feel jealous. Fran and Eva are kidnapped and have a big argument because...

Vilches doesn't want Álex to visit his friend Ricardo in thee hospital, although the child asked for him. Alejandro's best friend is dying and Vilches doesn't know how to tell his son about it, because the boy is convinced that his father will save him.
