Harry interrupts an assault on a scared girl. He begins to investigate the case further on his free time, but soon finds himself in the middle of a murder case.

Derrick gets an urgent phone call from a former police officer now a privet detective, Albert Hufland. During this phone call the detective gets shot but is able to reveal that he had stumble into something big during a routine following job in a hotel. Hufland was following Dr. Soest, a known chemist, on behalf of the doctor's wife who believes her husband is having an affair. The wife is right. A man is severely injured in a car accident, and rushed to the hospital. He asks to see a priest. When the priest comes, the dying man gives him a special task to perform. Despite the late hour, he has to make a call and go to meet someone.

Dagmar Engler calls her brother in terror. She has locked herself in her room and someone is trying to come in and kill her.

A man is found shot to death and set up sitting on a park seat.

A young lady is found strangled near a phone booth. The investigation reveals her suspicious past but also the peculiar nature of her husband's family.

Mr. Wilke is shot in his office. Early in the investigation it appears that he may not have been the intended target.

Hans Marx is on night patrol with a rookie cop. They have been hinted about suspicious activity and they are to look up a car near a brothel.

Martin Koldau has served 20 years and comes to Munich to seek an old flame, among other things.

Harry Klein recognizes an old acquaintance right off, after many, many years. Arthur Dribald is back in Munich.

Mrs. Goos is shot in the arm while riding. Her husband has his own suspects for the shooter.
