Professor Waldhoff has to rush to finish his research project, and he asks his colleague Dr. Minz to come to his home to work overtime. But at home, things are awfully wrong.

Ernst waits for his dance partner Gerda in vain. She is found strangled, and the first suspect is her childhood friend, Bruno.

Willi Schubach has been behaving well and gets out of the prison early. Someone, however, has reason to wish he stayed behind the bars.

A doctor has reason to believe that his elderly patient didn't die naturally. Derrick agrees.
