In light of her daughter's upcoming wedding, Beth Logan is back in L.A. and curious to find out why Brooke is about to marry Grant and not Ridge. Beth convinces Brooke to send Ridge a note to ask him back. Meanwhile, Ridge offers Grant a long-term contract at Forrester Creations in exchange for canceling his engagement with Brooke. Grant rejects this offer and stresses that Brooke will become his wife tomorrow. Later, Grant meets his future mother-in-law Beth for the first time. Grant and Taylor marvel at the fact that they will both enter into matrimony within 24 hours. Stephanie explains to Brooke that her marriage to Grant could be the chance for them to actually build a friendship. Brooke announces that she feels under the weather in order to delay the departure from the harbor a little longer. She thinks back to her wedding to Ridge in 1994 and hopes that this will dream will repeat itself. Ridge's absence is the cause for a lengthy discussion between Taylor, Stephanie and Eric before the former leaves to prepare for her nuptials the next day. Taylor asks Thorne to remain friends, but Thorne tells Taylor he wants more. Stephanie picks out some gowns for Claudia to wear to her dinner party. Stephanie urges Ridge to show Taylor what she means to him. Later, Thorne is hurt when Taylor and Ridge kiss.

Thorne and Ridge argue over Taylor. Stephanie tries to push Thorne and Claudia together during the dinner party. Thorne is furious when he sees Ridge flirt with Taylor and storms out. Macy wonders if Thorne might be in love with someone other than Claudia. She tells Sally and Clarke that she is determined to find out who it is.

Claudia realizes Thorne is in love with Taylor and not her. Claudia angrily confronts Stephanie that she used her as chess figure to come between Thorne and Taylor. Stephanie urges Claudia to make a move on Thorne while he's vulnerable because this will turn out for the best eventually. Ridge gives Taylor a bracelet.

Sheila is thrilled when Maggie must leave for London to take care of her daughter Jessica. Stephanie is worried that Ridge and Thorne will battle over Taylor. Lauren wonders if Taylor has feelings for Thorne. Claudia tries to seduce Thorne but realizes she can't sleep with him if he is in love with Taylor.

Katie urges Brooke to give her marriage to Grant a chance. Clarke tells Grant of his interest in the charms of Lauren Fenmore. Sheila tells Mike she intends to win James over just by being herself. James is pleasantly surprised when he and Sheila have a nice dinner together. Brooke and Grant plan for an elegant evening.

Lauren assures Eric that his decision to not go ahead with her designs has no effect on their personal relationship. Lauren tells Eric that she wants to move forward and to let Stephanie know they are dating. Stephanie and Sally argue about Thorne and Macy's separation, mostly about whose child is to blame. Grant takes Brooke out to dinner at Café Russe. He stresses to Brooke that he wants to be a husband to Brooke and father to her children. It's Valentine's Day: Stephanie orders Thorne to stay away from Taylor which he rejects. During a conversation with Ridge Lauren realizes that Stephanie is still hoping for reunion with Eric. Thorne tells Ridge he didn't sleep with Claudia. Thorne and Ridge argue over Taylor. Claudia asks Taylor about her intentions regarding Thorne. Afraid of hurting Stephanie, a heartbroken Lauren tells Eric they need to back away from a relationship for a while. Thorne asks Taylor to run away with him and shows her two airplane tickets to Tahiti.

Lauren urges Stephanie to tell Eric that she still has feelings for him. Taylor crushes Thorne's expectations. She thinks they can't run away to Tahiti because it will hurt Ridge and she still loves him. Eric is confused when Lauren informs him she isn't interested in a relationship with him. Claudia tells Michael that she thinks Taylor will reject Thorne.

Sheila dreams of a married life with James and the baby. James is fascinated when Sheila lets him put his hand on her stomach to feel the baby kick. Ridge arrives at Taylor's house and Taylor convinces Thorne to hide. Ridge asks Taylor to marry him and suggests they set a date. Thorne is crushed as he watches them kiss.

Stephanie urges Claudia to pursue Thorne. James and Sheila grow closer. James is horrified when Sheila jokes about dying during childbirth. He admits his mother died giving birth. Eric still cannot get over Lauren's sudden rejection. He wants to know if there is another man. Lauren leads a stunned Eric to believe she is dating Clarke.

Thorne tells Brooke that he is involved with Taylor so Brooke can now make her move on Ridge. Stephanie urges Taylor to reject Thorne. Clarke warns Grant to behave himself at work since he could lose his job, but Grant feels he deserves more respect from Eric. Taylor returns the plane tickets to a crushed Thorne.

Clarke tells Sally that Lauren seemed interested in him. Sally however is more interested in the prospects of Lauren working for Spectra Fashion. Ridge is furious when he discovers Grant wants Brooke to sign over control of the company to Grant and had Connor Davis already prepare the paper work. Taylor worries when Ridge is late for their date. Thorne urges Enrique to make a move on Claudia.

Lauren urges Stephanie to tell Eric how she feels about him. Eric invites Stephanie to dinner. Ridge warns Brooke that it would be a huge mistake to give control of the company to Grant. Taylor is crushed when she learns from Megan that not only is Ridge late for their date but he is with Brooke. Taylor gets drunk. When she returns home, she accidentally trips and sets the Beach House on fire!

Lauren is sad when she sees Stephanie and Eric dine together at Café Russe. Thorne looks for Taylor and discovers her house is on fire. Thorne rushes Taylor to the hospital. Dr. Santana informs Thorne that Taylor is badly burned. Taylor realizes Thorne saved her life. Meanwhile, Ridge looks for Taylor. He is shocked to find firefighters instead of Taylor in the gutted living room of the Beach House.

Taylor gives her engagement ring to Thorne to return it to Ridge. Taylor tells Thorne she never wants to see Ridge again. Grant tries to seduce Brooke but she rejects his advances once more. Ridge goes to visit Taylor in the hospital but Thorne keeps him from seeing her.

James is thrilled when Sheila shows him a videotape of her baby's ultrasound. Maggie returns home from London and realizes Sheila has gotten closer to James than she expected. Thorne tells Ridge Taylor's injuries are all his fault. Thorne throws Taylor's ring at Ridge and asks him to leave her alone.

Eric gives Enrique a promotion and tells him he will work closely under Grant. Grant is not pleased and vows to get respect from the Forresters. Clarke convinces Lauren to sign a deal with Spectra Fashion. The entire Spectra clan welcomes Lauren into the fold. Sheila tells a very worried Maggie she has gotten a lot closer to James.

Taylor tells Thorne she is worried that she will be disfigured. Thorne wants Taylor to gain new courage and promises that he will always be there for her. Stephanie is furious with Ridge for missing his date with Taylor because of Brooke. Grant tells Connor he is going to get back at Ridge and convince Brooke to sign the company over to him tonight.

Taylor is encouraged by another burn victim named Justin. Lauren informs Michael that she will be working with Spectra. Brooke tells Grant she trusts him more every day. Grant asks her to prove it by signing the power of attorney. Ridge convinces Thorne to let him into Taylor's hospital room. Taylor is shocked to see Ridge.

A basking Sally informs Clarke, Darla, Macy and CJ that Spectra is back in fashion with the recent Fenmore's deal. Brooke signs Grant's document. Taylor tells Ridge she doesn't want to talk to him and orders him to get out. Ridge tries to apologize but Taylor tells Ridge that she relies on Thorne since he saved her life. Ridge leaves in defeat.

Grant arrives at work with a huge smile on his face. He tells Connor he wants to work with the Forresters, but if they don't get on his side very soon he will fire them! Eric and Stephanie visit Taylor in the hospital. Taylor tells Stephanie she is trying to think positive thoughts to heal her burns. She has made her peace with Ridge but does no longer want to be with him. Everyone is startled and Thorne keeps Taylor's hand when her bandages are removed...

Everyone is relieved that Taylor has suffered no scarring from the fire. Taylor thanks Thorne for his support. Sheila asks Mike to come up with a plan to get rid of Maggie. Later, Ridge tells Thorne he will fight to win Taylor back. Maggie makes friends with plumber Curtis Love who is also from Iowa. Sheila gets an idea to drive James and Maggie apart.

Sally is worried that her new hire Lauren seems extremely preoccupied. She orders "Bucky" to find out what is troubling Lauren. Clarke convinces Lauren to stop protecting Stephanie and to talk to Eric about her feelings for him. Sheila is determined to bring Curtis and Maggie together. Curtis is confused when Sheila leaves an envelope with $1,000 at his place. Eric gives Stephanie a massage and tells her he wants her back. Eric and Stephanie begin kissing.

Ridge and Lauren are shocked to learn Stephanie and Eric spent the night together. Michael tells Grant she is horrified that he would steal the company from the Forresters. Eric wonders why Lauren is so heartbroke by his reunion with Stephanie. Enrique and Michael inform Ridge that Grant has gotten Brooke to make him CEO of Forrester Creations. Ridge confronts Grant and tears up the power of attorney in front of him.

Claudia tells Thorne that his parent's spent the night together. Enrique pledges his allegiance with the Forresters. Clarke suggests to Sally that they throw Grant a party as he reached his goal. Lauren admits to Sally that Eric is back together with Stephanie. Tensions are rising at Forrester Creations: Ridge points out that he is never going to accept Ridge as the head honcho and starts throwing insults. Grant has security throw Ridge out of his office. Michael is curious when Stephanie brings a handgun to work. Stephanie says she is having it fixed.
