Angelo tries to rescue Martha from Derrick while Charlie begins to learn the full extent of Hugo's involvement in recent events.

An injured Angelo tries to stop Derrick escaping while Hugo and Charlie are forced to work together against Suzy.

The residents of Summer Bay are shocked about what Hugo has done. Miles is woken by a little girl, called Rabbit - on the beach. Xavier gets a shock when he finds out that Hugo has left him a load of money. Finally, Hugo's funeral takes place where; Alf, Colleen, Martha, Miles, Xavier attend.

Geoff and Ruby commiseration with Xavier's mourning is cut short by indignation over a newspaper quote from Palmer, who denies it being accurate, that the human trade victims are a burden. Leah doesn't allow her date with handyman Hazem being disturbed by Palmer's gross insinuations about Hazem's invoicing. Aden happily accepts a job at the diner. Nicole is mean to him for not pushing after their jail romance and to Liam, denying any reconciliation.

Gina fails to make Brendan understand Hugo is dead, but Xavier even manages to console kid brother. Geoff and Ruby, who keeps flirting with defamation Palmer repeats he would prosecute, continue raising funds for the refugees. Romeo convinces Xavier the $00,000 Hugo left him in cash must be spent for good causes such as that. Yet the mere 5,000 bundle to prepared in an envelope seems to have a will of its own, bringing Xavier bruises and rebuke without arriving via Hazem's picnic or in the diner, so Romeo concludes it must be a plan against karma. Liam doesn't get any...

Romeo has a hard time now his sassy surf-obsessed sister 'Killer' Mink visits, who practically seeks trouble. Correct Geoff and sassy Ruby plan a protest rally at the diner on Australia Day. Liam is all confused. John stands more abuse, even a fist blow from Mink, yet helps Alf trying to break up a drunk bunch beating op Hazem, but once the target is inside they turn to grave vandalism and even launch a Molotov cocktail.

The abusive ruffians keep sieging the diner, where Alf and Geoff get desperate putting out budding fires, ultimately Geoff gets wounded by a beam crushing on his shoulder. He and badly beaten up Hazem can only be evacuated by paramedics after Miles pretends the police is coming, in fact detained by an accident elsewhere. Meanwhile sassy Mink meets Xavier and helps herself to some of Hugo's legacy cash to spend, adding to gold-honest Romeo's constant sibling embarrassment.

After the fire hate crime, the diner is in ruins, leaving Aden unemployed again. TV reporter Patrick Grady interviews several inhabitants, most expressing their disgust but some also suggesting elements of explanation. Links are suggested with Hugo's crime gang and even Liam's drug arrest.

Their secluded holiday was all Angelo needed to recover from the Hugo ordeal, while companion Charlie remains subject to nightmares. All their stressing about his promotion likely to mean a geographic transfer proves void, but they get another surprise: he's promoted sergeant, now above her. Alf is so disgusted by the Australia Day eve riot that he resigns from the surf-club and ceases running the bait-shop. Aden gets to run it, worthy of a celebration overshadowing Nicole's gloom at her failed exams.

A holiday week together with still nightmare-prone Charlie was all Angelo needed to recover completely after the whole Hugo ordeal, but back in Summer bay they stress his promotion may mean a transfer too, actually needlessly. But they get another surprise: he's promoted sergeant above her, and senses irrational jealousy. Xavier feels substitutive guilt for Hugo's crimes, although nobody holds it against the good kid brother. Geoff is highly irritable, in pain from his burnt shoulder, which will scar, and afraid to face the emotional burden, yet ends up symbolically ...

Only after Angelo suggests they should cohabit and assures her their love primes over his career, Charlie promises to cease her petty jealousy. Alf's grumpiness gets so bad even Miles finally tells him to pull together or actually leave. Now Aden made her happy, Nicole goes easier on Liam, who however miserably seeks comfort elsewhere.

Aden and Nicole ponder and worry about her having declared love for him flippantly, which he forgot to return however delighted. Tony's quiet advice helps both them and Alf, who was shaken by Miles's snapping and calms down while fishing with Toby. Liam moves out of Roman's house.

Geoff loses his temper with Ruby, Leah struggles to leave the house after her recent experience and Charlie lies to Angelo about wanting to move in with him.

Speaking to Romeo and Mink in turn, Xavier learns their step-dad beat the whole family. When Romeo was 14, he diverted his anger towards their mother, until one time when he was drunk (fired from his job) she feared for her life and knocked him down with a cricket-bat, killing him. After their mother left, she was arrested and convicted for murder. Geoff regrets his inability of self-control since the riot, nearly gets arrested after spotting a lifeguard who was with the perpetrators, dumps busybody Ruby and takes Alf's advice to try prayer again. Tony's calm ...

Having taken stock in church, Geoff tells the home front he knows what to do with his life. He says goodbye to leave on a missionary journey, after which he wants to go to university and become a minister, as he always felt a calling. Unemployed, homeless Liam kills time helping out on the farm, which works so well he moves in as Martha's new lover. Told about Leah's agoraphobia predicament, Miles comforts her and acts as the therapist she refuses to consult.

Angelo is frustrated further by Charlie pretending to be okay with a house-chase to co-habit, then changing her mind and hyperventilating. Liam moves his things to the farm, but a near-lecture by Alf makes him doubt the move, unlike his flippant host who considers their love-night 'just fun'. Gina's attempt to mediate between Tony and John considering their gym partnership leaves both siblings frustrated.

Despite Romeo's efforts and advice, Mink keeps embarrassing him, even tries to sabotage Xavier making up with Ruby, but everyone understands except Mink, who ends up sneaking into Xavier's room to steal some of Hugo's cash. Angelo's angelic patience with Charlie is running out as she clearly won't commit, according to Ruby a regular pattern after about six month, which term also applies.

Leah tries to pluck up the courage to visit Hazem, Xavier and Romeo realise Mink has stolen the money and Martha persuades Alf to give Irene a job.

Leah feels uncomfortable when she realises Hazem's mother expects her to stay in the city and the arrival of John Palmer doesn't improve her mood while Nicole feels insecure about Aden.

Liam starts to enjoy his fickle host's crazy lust-games, even when seen frolicking by Coleen. Aden tells Nicole, who know takes 'feminist love advice' from Ruby, he's interested but unwilling to start a relationship unless it's more serious then he's sure yet to be about her. Miles gets obsessed with a childish prediction he'll die if he sleeps.

Romeo's resolve to return to school, as offered by Gina, is tested when Mink flippantly suggests an alternative future as her manager, which he ends up wisely rejecting as a dead end. Sleepless Miles's zombie behavior works on everybody's nerves.

Romeo re-enrolls at school, Ruby and Xavier find their feelings for each other returning and Rabbit's prediction for Miles nearly comes true.

Xavier and Ruby lecture manipulative liar Mink's selfish rudeness and refuse to have anything to do with her anymore, ignoring her 'niw sincere' apologies to Xavier. Leah is reluctant to hold a grand reopening for the diner, until John makes her accept the business logic as a refusal to give in to the vandals, but she gets another anxiety attack. Liam arrives at school.

Angelo consults and considers before telling Charlie he feels her refusal to cohabit confirms the theory she only 'commits' to relationships expected to break up in time. Leah's panic attack causes the diner reopening to be moved to the surf-club. Tony convinces her she needs an active outlet, notably the brand new Brazilial martial arts class.

Angelo and Charlie keep pondering his commitment anxiety theory, unwilling to hurt each-other but unable to believe it wrong and accepting Aden's advise to openly face the implications. Alf is surprised that Aden abandons the bait-shop and seems tempted by an offer to work in the diner again. Reverend Elijah begs mates rates for a 'poor lowly clergymen' retreat from Miles, who is willing, and Alf, in vain. When Miles brings Leah to the Brazilian martial arts class, they discover Elijah is the instructor.

Angelo offers Charlie to become just friends again, although he really wants love, but is denied even that. Saddened on all fronts, Xavier tries to become a model last year student and even volunteers domestic tidying up. Tony is furious about more meddling by John, who even offered new gym members free coaching behind his back, and suggests Palmer better buy him out then.

Tony grudgingly accepts Gina's suggestion to grant Rachel at least a delay before selling his gym part to Palmer, but another tongue lashing speeds it up anyhow. Aden is relieved that Nicole already concentrates on the repeat-year she hated starting. She bends over backwards to prepare a surprise diversion and spends every second on preparing for a new guest teacher, a fashion designer. Liam is told that he may get a permanent music teaching post if he finishes his training by correspondence, and learns Martha believes she is pregnant.

Xavier is relieved Ruby believes Mink kissed him against his will, and allows her to tease him. Later he overhears Romeo resisting Mink's shameless attempt to guilt-force him into abandoning school to help her surfing career, as if she went to juvenile just for him. Liam is off the hook: Martha's premature pregnancy claim is withdrawn, again without proper test. Elijah's class was a success for Leah, who nails Miles to the wall effortlessly, and apparently the reverend hit a romantic nerve too, so his week-long absence and class deference is deeply regretted.

Xavier hears the whole story of Mink going to juvenile instead of weakling ma and promises discretion, yet she acts up to Romeo as if their secret was never safe. Romeo justly scolds her for meanly messing up a surf-wear sponsoring deal with Dave Morgan's company. Miles realizes the vandal causing his graffiti problem must be Amber alias Rabbit. Elijah delights Leah by returning early and still offering a make up 'non-date'.

Angelo makes a still vain effort to get back on -at least collegial- speaking terms with Charlie. Aden commiserates with her, feeling miserable now he can no longer hide his romantic feelings, until fashioned-obsessed Nicole, warned by Miles, convinces Aden that's precisely attractive in her eyes. Miles is at his wit's end after a night in waiting to catch the graffiti vandal, as Aden dozes off and he let Amber 'Rabbit' escape falling over his own feet. Leah just can't cope with her 'improper' feeling for minister Elijah.

Leah continues to avoid Elijah, Romeo and Mink try to sort through their issues and Nicole meets her hero.

Xavier is abused furiously by Mink after his ma dragged the truth about her out of him, which Mink guesses because of Ruby's soft gloves. Gina however gives a sharp analysis. Tony denies selling the gym was cowardly and scolds Rachel's inconsistent complaints. However the vacant gym teacher's post is an alternative, which Gina consents to suggest to the board despite the siblings' poor collaboration record.

Xavier is pleasantly surprised that ma's talk to Mink changed her mood from murderous to semi-pleasant enough to sort of behave at dinner. Next she relieves Romeo by taking a positive goodbye. Angelo is desperate enough to consult Romeo about Charlie's commitment fear and tries his advised direct approach, a kiss. Annie is on leave from the Japan exchange program, which can be prolonged three months, a hard choice after seeing Romeo again.

Irene overhears Annie telling Ruby that she partly came back for Romeo, as she can't get him out of her head. Martha is being distant with Liam, which he can't understand why. Charlie and Angelo agree to remain as just good friends and even manage a coffee together.

Leah tells Miles that she has feelings for Elijah, with Colleen overhearing she soon tells Leah that it is wrong to have feelings for a man of cloth. Tony has a nightmare first day teaching as the new P.E. teacher. Liam brushes off Martha persistently.

After some persuasion from Leah, Charlie decides to book some counseling. Alf and Colleen tell Miles to get the vandalism in the caravan park sorted pronto, which Angelo handles. Liam and Martha patch up their differences. Rabbit make Miles lock Elijah and Leah inside one of the caravans.

Back at school, Romeo and and Annie play games rather then declare their love, but both signs up for the Romeo and Juliet auditions. Elijah and Leah aren't amused by Miles locking them up, even less he slipped out her crush on the minister, who know considers asking another parish.

Romeo and Annie do audition for the school play, and despite unease get cast in the opposite title leads, but only then find out it's a cross-dressing 'travestite' version. Tony can't convince Gina to help him organize and coach boxing the channel excess knavish energy. Palmer treats Gina to an expensive restaurant and is rewarded 'upstairs' afterward. Arriving home, a grimly silent Xavier finds them indecently undressed. Liam buys a new car, no, a cool motorbike, and announces he's moving out of the farm.

Xavier is miserable having found his ma making love to fiendish Palmer, even worse finding out word already spread. Tony's assurance to his sister things with Xavier will work out seems to come trough when the knave even apologizes for his initial reaction, but Palmer gets a crystal-warning to back off. Aden convinces Nicole to keep trying although the internship so-far only entails menial services for designer Britt, without reward.

Xavier is so miserably afraid to face his ma that he dodges school. Ruby follows him to 'deal with it' one day on the beach. He even wants to move to the farm. Marilyn Fisher returns from Britain. She nearly runs over a bloodily wounded young man and gives him a ride to hospital. There he finally remembers he's Aden's big brother Justin Jefferies. Angelo worries about Charlie, who lies to cover up she's finally scheduled for therapy.

Justin Jefferies is diagnosed not seriously hurt, except for his concussion causing hopefully temporary amnesia. Kid brother Aden is surprised to learn Justin is in the Army and helps wonder why he visited now. The police concludes he crashes his car, but was dragged out by a third person and found blood on the back-seat. Xavier listens to more advice, but even Tony can't convince him to tolerate ma's affair with Palmer, who actually advises her to go easy on the sensitive knave, who is ultimately told he better moves to the farm, where Liam leaves anyway. Marylin ...

Justin is released from hospital and moves in at Miles's, as does Marilyn, whose vegetarian, fengshui and unique oddities startle all youngsters. Justin tells Aden he may have come to praise the military career, and won't ever forgive their (grand)fathers. While Palmer actually offers to move out of Gina's life for Xavier's sake, the knave settles in at the farm while everyone else keeps pushing him to give in to his selfish ma, who realizes she's probably turning into a total maternal failure. Nicole finally gets to present her own designs to Britt, who is pressed ...

Romeo is a vomiting wreck before the Shakespearian rehearsal, but when he gets to practice with Annie alone that works really romantically. Angelo wonders if Charlie is serious about them anymore. After Britt showed interest in Nicole's drawing, she's tickled pink with a party invitation, but starts realizing she's being used.

Angelo goes undercover as fisherman Leo to entrap Michael Patton, who is selling a boat, but is also Charlie's therapist. Romeo lets Annie tease him as surfer and co-lead actor, happy to 'rehearse' the kissing scene. His angel costume however proves too humiliating for the stud. Miles confesses to Elijah he told Leah she's loved too and gets to hear his secret is Vinnie died years later then Summberbay assumes.

Xavier moves into the farm and settles rather well, but Liam suspects the box he anxiously guards -actually Hugo's cash legacy- must contain drugs. Elijah tells Miles he was the last one to see Vinnie alive, dying in witness protection years after the prison fire Leah and VJ believe he died in, yet accepts Leah's dinner invitation. Goofy-girlish chatterbox Marilyn drives Miles nuts, but self-righteous fellow guest Alf makes him apologize and ask her to stay.

Xavier suffers under Gina's cruelty and is nearly persuaded by Tony, who considers taking up a paternal role, to give in. He overhears Liam informing both Martha and Gina about his drug theory and hides the cash box, but its' still found and falls open. Justin gives up trying to tempt Aden to an army career or getting him to discuss their abusive grandpa. Nicole confides only in Ruby how Britt steals from her, which she dares not openly contest, but Justin smells a rat too.

Justin gets no understanding response from Aden after confessing he was abused by their military granddad too, yet insists joining the Army might help as it did for him. Romeo admits the cross-dressed play gave him butterflies he never experienced, yet lets Annie tempt him to turn up for the next rehearsal. Angelo continues his Charlie-observation despite Miles's stalking-disapproval, but happens to fall out of a tree outside her therapist Michael Patton's home.

Romeo is desperate enough about his stage-fright butterflies to try a radical 'method acting' cure: he wears a girls uniform a whole school day, ending up comfortable enough to resume his role. Angelo fears being caught fallen out of the tree outside Michael Patton's ruined his relationship with Charlie, but still convinces her his concern was genuine, as she never told him she started therapy. Jai and Leah decide on a stress-limiting dinner, being both pizza-amateurs.

After the pizza date ended in kissing, Leah is over the moon and contemplates a steady relationship, although VJ is skeptic. Elijah gathers his courage and doers well with the boy by telling a saucy school story. Marilyn gets Rabbit nightmares, like Miles, but also about her late baby Byron, now as a boy. She learns about Miles' hobo phase but also discovers he's the mentally ill caravans vandal.

Xavier realizes bloodhound Liam won't drop his drug suspicion, so to prevent him finding the money gets it to Ruby, ignoring Martha already saw it. Gina searches his room again but finds nothing. Tony feels guilty for driving Xavier from home and decides to provide an energy outlet, so he gets boxing equipment from the gym Palmer now owns, while betting he can still beat him for the senior title. Feeling ignored, Liam moves out of the farm.

Gina's idiotic reaction to Tony giving Xavier a safe boxing lesson drives him away straight again. Ruby inspires him to use his choice to blackmail her into dumping Palmer, but Rachel has talked over Gina, who even keeps John out in exchange for Xavier returning home. Miles still doesn't realize being the caravans vandal.

Romeo is now comfortable enough to resume wooing Annie. Hearing she finds it hard to get into their parts except on stage, he drags her along intruding it. Alf's reluctance to believe Marilyn that Miles is the graffiti vandal and needs help is cured by seeing him talk with imaginary Rabbit, whom she realized being the girl Miles drew with bunny ears. Elijah also senses Miles is sick, but concentrates on Leah and bonding with VJ trough beach soccer.

After the blood on Justin from the accident is diagnosed their dad's, Aden tries to help cover up, finds Justin had picked up pa and insists they must clear the crash site, where the brothers make a shocking discovery. Romeo confides into Annie how foster-care suppressed his personality, which suddenly reappeared in Summerbay. Miles admits to Alf 'Rabbit' is his late daughter's "real" and clairvoyant ghost.

Justin has found their dad's corps, so Aden takes charge of burying it and trying to clean up their act and persons. Angelo wanted to consult the reverend but ends up counseling Elijah to come clean to Leah. After soccer-fun made him so popular VJ asks for him as escort to school, Elijah tells Leah he was present when Vinnie died. Alas, VJ overhears them discussing whether to spare the boy such grievous news. The brothers can barely control mounting panic when summoned to the precinct as the prison reported dad was released and picked up by Justin, who lies to have ...

Xavier discovers Hugo's cash has disappeared from his farm stash. He starts training with Tony by beach-run before the actual boxing exercises. John probes Gina when he may drop by again. VJ is hurt deeply, feeling cheated by both parents' silence, yet responds well to explanations by Elijah, who feels however he should give them time. Xavier gets the cash back with the suggestion to hang on to his Hugo-legacy 'to do some goo with'. While seeking a new hiding place, he stumbles upon that of someone who must be connected with Hugo.

Given the unexplained Hugo-linked finds in the bunker, Xavier spends the night there, hoping Hugo might be alive, but just falls asleep and has to pretend he was at Ruby's. Angelo confirms he 'watched' Hugo die and concerts with Alf, who manages to undermine Xavier's next theory, witness protection like Vinnie. Therapy daunts Miles, who fears to loose Amber 'Rabbit' again, but her impish interruptions now even disturb his teaching. Michael Patton insists on medication for his delusions.

Xavier pacifies his ma after his absent night, but she tells Palmer to mistrust his explanation he just misses Hugo. Elijah and Leah worry how to handle VJ's frustration about Vinnie's death, hence endless re-watching dad's last video. VJ embraces Elijah's idea to visit Vinnie's grave. Miles is drawn between his therapist's logic and Rabbit's objections, Marilyn informs Elijah.

Angelo gets even more suspicious after receiving lab test-results and calls the Jefferies brothers back in for further questioning, causing renewed panic. Elijah impresses Leah by handling VJ's impatience during the long drive to Vinnie's grave. Miles's medication starts kicking in, but the rabbit appearances he misses soon start again. Marilyn encourages Nicole to confront plagiarist Britt, but the designer cancels her apprenticeships and promises to ruin her fashion career prospects.

Romeo courts Annie with as clever teasing as romance, arranging a private dance. The Jefferies brothers can barely control themselves at the search of the crash site, which doesn't find dad's body, but afterward Justin tells Aden he now remembers to have killed the lowlife. Nicole waves Aden's advice to take a lawyer bit follows Romeo's to make sure at least no other school-kid gets ripped off like her. Elijah gets VJ to face Vinnie's grave, impressing Leah even more and clearly accepted as father-substitute.

Hearing Alf can't watch Martha's desperate mourning, Angelo goes cheer him up 'commiserating', and later learns that Hugo has missed his monthly witness protection report. Meanwhile a shadow enters Xavier's underground stash. Romeo is now perfectly happy courting Annie. Liam convinces Ruby of her alleged vocal talent

Xavier rents a locker in Palmer's gym to hide Hugo's cash, supposedly for his box training exercises from Tony. Miles has stopped taking his medicine, but Marilyn overhears him discussing that with once again concealed Rabbit. Xavier is not amused his ma invited John for dinner. Watchful Angelo discretely follows Xavier from a distance and sees him intrude the underground site.

Romeo's open fears jumping trough courting hoops won't help him convince her to stay when he overhears her tell Irene she still can't imagine bailing out of the Japan exchange program. Marilyn suspects Miles isn't recovered and tells him and Alf she has less then a year to live as her cancer returned. Elijah and Leah decide to go public while his diocese's clergy gathers to face their feared bishop. Miles probably fails to convince his therapist pretending his Rabbit delusion is gone.

Justin asks Nicole to help convince Aden he's fit for an army career. Justin tells the police what he remembered, but it's taken to be plausibly a memory trick. Nevertheless, he and Aden panic when a new search of the crash site is planned for the next day. Aden decides they must dig dad's corps up themselves beforehand. Xavier's teasing playfully pushes Romeo to tell Annie clearly he wants her to stay for him. Elijah does well hosting the diocesan clergy meeting, but is seen kissing Leah by the feared Bishop Pitt.

Justin can't even control his stomach while he and Aden search dad's corps, which they have to postpone till after night because it's too dark. The brothers are barely out in time to avoid the police party catching them. Bishop Pitt reconsiders his rigid approach to Elijah's love, limiting his instructions to discretion. Marilyn advices Nicole to confront the boys about Justin's insistence Aden should join the military too.

The Jefferies brothers are nervous wreck after their awkwardly close escape from the police. Angelo gently explains from experience to Aden confession would be best, but he only does after stopping Justin from doing so a second time, pleading only to let his brother off. Miles is caught lost in 'converstaion' with rabbit again, confesses to Alf he dumped his medication and gets fired by Gina for resisting psychiatric assessment.

Angelo reminds Alf, just in time, he may not blow Hugo's cover now he has broken his parole for weeks and may be hiding in Summer Bay. Nicole refuses to plead for an army career with Aden. Angelo can't present at Aden's confession, which doesn't convince the police. After questioning Justin again it's decided to wait for forensic evidence to disprove their story. Miles is suspended and fails to hide his despair.

Romeo and 'Romeo' have mixed feelings about the play finally being at hand. Xavier cutely helps Ruby over her nerves. Elijah tries to make Miles realize teaching is his vocation, not something he can give up, while confiding how a deceased nephew 'haunted' him for a while. Angelo worries about missing Hugo in various ways.

It's the day of the school's Romeo and Juliet. It's a success, although Liam had to save Ruby by improvising a duet version of her song. As Romeo feared, Annie has decides to leave for Japan again, the very next day. Elijah and Leah are getting comfortable with physical intimacy. Miles first fights with bothersome Rabbit, then rushes to Elijah to pass on her weird warning for school kids, horses and dogs.

Palmer arrogantly taunts Tony about Xavier's apparent lack of zeal for boxing under 'such a coach'. Wondering why Xavier wanted a locker in his gym then, Gina lets him open it and discovers the cash. After Miles admits he's constantly 'with rabbit' again, Elijah explains to him and Leah even such bizarre 'belief' isn't troubling as such, but her dangerous suggestions require seeking proper help.

Xavier refuses to tell Gina where he got the cash, just that he didn't do anything wrong. Palmer laughs away his lecture about the locker-search. Tony isn't impressed by Rachel's opposition to his boxing duel against Palmer. The official charge against the startled Jefferies brothers is conspiracy to murder pa Larry. After learning from Martha the cash is Hugo's, Gina tells Xavier she understands but calls in unfair and wants him to turn it over to the police, which he considers absurd.

Angelo can't reason with irate Martha, who thrashes her own living room after finding out Hugo's death was staged, but finds her in time to make her realize any relative who knows is in grave danger. Romeo tries Liam's advice to handle his heart-ache by therapeutic writing, and swears his romantic text is amazingly good. Elijah's parenting success with VJ, proposing a cool; but safe bat caves visit, again delights Leah.

The Jefferies brothers' surprised delight, Morag has arranged for all charges against them to be dropped. Aden is surprisingly unenthusiastic. Although she refuses to tell Justin so, Nicola now believes his theory love for her binds Aden to Summer Bay and prevents him to start a new life, such as a military career, which she now pushes him to consider. Justin's plea may be waved by Nicole as 'you were never there for him', she ends up dumping Aden for his own sake according to Justin's logic he needs to be freed from Summer Bay. Elijah proves himself again as father-figure for VJ and his friends, organizing a party for all. Miles, now celebrated as the gassed barn miracle hero, reluctantly says goodbye to Rabbit and promises to resume therapy.

Mammone, Robert Sid Walker )Learning the truth about Hugo from Martha, Xavier tells their family. Aden can't understand or accept being dumped for no apparent reason. Nicole nearly breaks but refuses to make up when he chokes unable to say 'I love you', fearing he's not truly over Belle. Aden bitterly decides to leave to the city with Justin, without any goodbyes. Xavier has a long-hoped surprise encounter. Tony refuses to call off his boxing duel, as John offers at their ladies' request.

Xavier is delighted to be picked up by Hugo and promises to get him supplies, to which aim he enlists only Ruby's list, keeping even Tony in the dark as agreed. However Hugo doesn't appear at the meeting point, only sincerely worried Angelo, whose wise lecture only triggers another undeserved scolding. Gina stays the night with John, although surprised he understands Angelo's professionalism. The next morning, she gets a surprise visit in school.

Xavier is worried sick because Hugo didn't turn up at the agreed supplies pick-up point. In fact the scoundrel took a ride home with Gina, who meanly treats him as a criminal, no longer as her son, until he's about to leave forever. Just then the family stumbles upon them. Meanwhile Angelo's fine instinct suspects Gina is hiding something.

Angelo's fine wit and instinct tell him Hugo is home, so he organizes maximal stake-outs. Hugo hides while Gina rudely refuses a search without warrant, which would be hard to get, then slips out to the farm. Miles is told Gina can only reinstate him as teacher if the PTA agrees, which he considers unlikely regardless of principal's support.

Palmer's taunting and Rachel's implacable, embarrassingly overt opposition against boxing keep making Tony change his mind whether to go on with the duel dare. Romeo, pushed by Nicole, succeeds where Gina failed: convincing the investigator to let Miles return to school as all pupils are behind him.

Romeo's triumph over getting Miles back to school is spoiled when he receives another unopened letter. After hurting his foot working out his anger on cans, Romeo tells Miles it's to his mother and he decided to stop caring about the looser who failed to help him and his sister as kids. As reverse psychology also fails to daunt Tony, his boxing duel with Palmer goes ahead. the anticlimax is even referee Colleen leaves bored as neither manages to strike a notable punch. Flirtatious Jill Carpenter arrives in Summer Bay, looking for her son Todd 'Romeo'.

Romeo can handle having to nurse his skunk-drunk ma trough the night and apologizing to his luckily understanding house-mates. It's too much even for perfect son 'Todd' when he learns she inherited an obscene fortune from his abusive step-dad but never spent a cent on him or Mink. Hugo enjoys his romantic time at the farm, while seriously worried it's a matter of time until the police or worse discovers him there. Elijah's endless question make Leah so nervous he must admit working up to a proposal, but it's too soon to commit for her.

Romeo's horrified to discover that Jill wants to give him $50,000 for forgiveness. Later, Jill is caught kissing John by Gina. Xavier is not happy to see Liam's growing friendship with Ruby.

Charlie and Angelo turn up at the farm and inform Xavier and Martha they have a warrant to search the property for Hugo. John sleeps on the bench outside Gina's hoping to make peace - she chucks a glass of water over him. Rachel gets a shock when she's called out to the farm for medical expertise - it's Hugo. Charlie and Angelo kiss.

Leah tells Irene that Elijah has proposed, but Colleen mishears and thinks Alf and Marilyn have got engaged. Nicole and Marilyn tease Angelo about woman's problem's - Charlie. Elijah chats to Marilyn for advice. He decides to get Leah a ring.

Leah ends things with Elijah after catching him with an engagement ring. Marilyn decides to teach interfering Colleen a lesson - Marilyn and Alf make out they're engaged. Ruby finds her feelings for Liam are growing, which Nicole quizzes her about.

Alf and Marilyn let Colleen believe that they're getting married. Leah asks Elijah to reconsider - she wants him to re-propose. A group of malicious thugs come looking for Hugo who is with Martha. Are they in serious danger?

Hugo decides to leave Summer Bay and Martha, however Alf talks him around and he decides to stay. Jill embarrasses Romeo when she turns up at the school intoxicated. Jill deliberately thwarts John making up with Gina.

Charlie and Angelo go on yet another date and kiss again. Romeo tells his mother, Jill to leave Summer Bay for both their sakes. Things tighten for blissful Hugo and Martha.

Charlie seeks advice from Leah about Angelo. Xavier tells Liam to back off from Ruby. Colleen sternly tells Alf that she couldn't and shouldn't accept Marilyn as her sister-in-law.

Nicole slowly makes Ruby realize how her exclusive time-spending with Liam, who now fears for his teaching career, caused Xavier's snapping, yet she denies any crush and gives Xavier hell, which he no longer accepts. A sinister man arrives and rents a caravan, looking for the Austins. Miles enjoys taunting Alf with his 'wedding plans', Marilyn still won't let him off the hook.

He is tipped off too late that Hugo knows he was the smugglers' corrupt police informant to prevent him shooting the arrested kidnapper 'in self defense'. Xavier refuses to remain on Ruby's string, yet she acts as the 'victim' of her own infidelity. Elijah tries to prepare Leah for his parents' long visit.

With Angelo and Eaves driving towards the farm, everyone is in danger. Leah meets Elijah's overbearing parents.

She manages to get poor Romeo to 'apologize' for scolding the fiend's infidelity to Gina and invites him along. After Tony arrives, their constant bickering gets so bad they step outside. Liujan drives Elijah so mad he starts arguing with Leah. Although his parents give them room for the night, Liujan is kicked out of the hotel because of her arrogance.

While Miles' cooking leads to a ruined dinner, Romeo is far more disappointed by his mother's guest Palmer's fight with Tony. After the odd couple sets off, ending up in bed together, Romeo apologizes to 'cheated-at' Gina and offers his help. Penn Graham, who enjoys re-watching Alf's TV-testimony, arrives and moves into a caravan until further notice.

April arrives in the Bay and makes a connection with Xavier. Ruby denies her crush on Liam, but it's clear she still has feelings for him. Xavier learns of Romeo's plan to get Gina and John back together and he's furious and fights with Romeo at school. Things heat up at Leah's when Lijuan cooks a feast and the two women butt heads.

The Walkers break down on their way back to Summer Bay, Colleen steps up her campaign against Marilyn and Miles' attempts to help his loved ones only succeed in offending everyone.

Romeo wastes no time making sure Gina returns to Palmer, while he keeps his ma busy, but is caught and scolded by her. Elijah's ma nearly freaks out startled Leah by insisting on some astrological rituals as omen for the wedding. Nicole gives no details to Penn regarding why Sid's arrival freaked her out, yet tells both it's okay. Dex practices sarcastic optimism, Indigo just nasty gloom.

Romeo's plan has successfully brought Palmer and Gina to commit to each-other, so his lush ma is drooped romantically. She meanly blames 'Todd', announces she's leaving never mind whereto and resumes drinking before his eyes. Dex reassures Sid their reassembled family has a good chance. At school, he and Rmeo discover to be Annie's exes. Sid warns known ex-junkie Liam not to compromise his kids. Leah looses her patience with Elijah's bending over backwards for his adoptive parents when absurd 'omens' seem likely to compromise their wedding plans.

Romeo is near despair now his ma has resumed alcoholism while blaming him. Palmer and Gina pledge to try committing to each-other. Indigo has the hots for Romeo but lacks seductive skill. Song reassures Elijah he should simply stand by his bride, Lijuang promises to fix everything but tells Leah her boy is a hopeless romantic wimp, too immature for marriage.

Romeo is near despair but lets Nicole Indigo cheer him up a bit and rekindle hope. At last, Irene convinces Jill it's time to seek help and Romeo gets the news his ma is finally enrolling in AA. Penn gets Nicole to tell him about Sid, whom he now 'warns off' regardless of protestations the initiative came exclusively from her. Elijah and Leah are finally reassured and reunited, the wedding is on again and his parents back off so-long.

Angelo's greatest fear comes trough: on his lawyer Sean's advice, he must avoid a trial and dismissal by pleading a minor charge and resigning from the police, hence his whole way of life. After getting drunk, he commits his lost uniform to the flames on the beach. Having been seen stripping by Colleen, his now ex-colleagues whom she phoned have no choice to make him spend the night in jail. Alf can't handle childhood clown-phobia memories triggered by the hand puppet Marilyn found in the attic and chooses as her project's face.

Angelo is released from night jail, disheartened, yet starts making up for his beach excess and accepts Alf's offer to run the bait shop, at least a way to stay in the bay. Rachel rages again against boxing and tells Gina it's her life, never mind if Xavier can accept Palmer, so he's invited to move in, the knave's worst nightmare. Liam and Ruby are excited now he booked a recording studio. Alf's trauma is so deep he buries the puppet at night, or thinks so, but it's still at home in the morning.

April encourages Xavier to 'stop being boring' and kiss her, but that gives him the courage to openly tells Palmer not to move in or have his life turned into complete misery, which he fears will actually wreck his own. Tony's boxing class seems to attract only April, Dex and Indigo, but that was due to an erroneous flyer. Sid brought his kids, agrees with Tony Rachel exaggerates the risk and invites them to dinner to make her see sense, which fails. Alf now tries to drown hand-puppet Mr. Oddly at daytime, but it turns up in the washing machine. Penn finally lures ...

John informs Alf how the Surf Club is in financial crisis. Learning of this Marilyn informs Angelo who comes up with a new career idea. Also, Penn frames Colleen for theft who is then arrested by Charlie and locked away.

Alf visits Colleen - who is still locked up waiting to be charged. Xavier and April's friendship becomes even closer. John approves Angelo's idea of opening a restaurant in the Surf Club extension.

Sid worries that Nicole still has feelings for him after what Penn informed him and talks to Miles about his fears. Meanwhile, Elijah volunteers to step in when Leah isn't available for the scheduled parents career day. VJ first seems interested, then not, but only because he doesn't want to introduce a step-dad and proposes to call delighted Elijah dad.

Penn tries to act as good man by telling Alf he won't testify against Colleen in court. Later Romeo spots Penn getting intimate with another girl and informs Nicole. Also, at the hospital the nurses' refuse to work with Sid and rebel against him.

Rachel and Sid's efforts to save Hayley become increasingly desperate, April's sister Bianca arrives in town, Leah finds out about Elijah's missionary past and Ruby is excited by her recording session with Liam.

Colleen turns up at the Diner in big sunglasses and a hat. She informs Irene and Leah, that she can only work dressed like this but they make her take it off. Indi continues to dream about Romeo. Nicole struggles with Penn's loyalty towards her and other girls. Plus, Mr Oddly scares Alf, again when he turns up in the fridge and then at the bait shop. Alf tells Marilyn he's had a gut full of it. She reveals to Nicole and Romeo, that Mr. Oddly won't be letting up yet.

The funny pranks on Alf, with Mr Oddly continue. He demands that Miles and Marilyn own up but they refuse leaving him annoyed. Nicole confides in Miles about Penn. Marilyn and Sid arrange a date. Bianca, announces to Liam, that she's the new modern languages teacher - they flirt. Indi and Dexter, are annoyed that Sid had another one night stand with Veronica.

Sid and Marilyn, go on a romantic picnic which Veronica tries to ruin but fails. Xavier is nervous about meeting Bianca. They have food at the Diner and April, Xavier and Bianca merge tables with flirtatious Liam, and jealous Ruby. Irene, later finds upset Ruby, on the beach. Alf isn't pleased the next morning to see that Sid stayed the night with Marilyn.

Xavier seeks advice from Tony, which he follows, and Palmer, which is inverse, about telling April being kissed by his ex Ruby. He's relieved she laughs at his sweet predicament and triumphantly thanks Palmer for showing him what not to do. Angelo is flat out trying to make the restaurant opening deadline he agreed to for good lease terms. Charlie offers to help, but soon starts wining he should consider postponing or even give up. Elijah's missionary tales win VJ's class's admiration, yet he assures Leah not to miss that adventurous life.

Penn writes extensively to his pa about the Bay's apparently peaceful nature and deeper dark sides, such as Xavier's apparent acceptance of Palmer, and how he mixes in traitorously. Angelo's restaurant project is saved form virtually fatal delay when Penn injects cash and pays for extra hands, but he also torches Charlie's cop-car. Tony's boxing project is saved by more Graham generosity, Rachel stirred further. Elijah's adventurous past causes trouble, absurdly from bride Leah's side, with some 'help' form Penn.

Rachel, tells Tony, she's bored. However a old medical friend turns up unexpectedly delighting Rachel. Leah's still reeling with Elijah wanting to do missionary work, Irene and Colleen try to help. Elijah seeks advice from Miles. Marilyn is fuming when Mr. Oddly disappears again. Miles reunites them both, after Alf hid him at the school.

Penn continues to play mind games. He tells Nicole in front of Sid, that Sid, has a crush on her. Daniel ups his offer to Rachel about managing his new clinic in Boston, leaving Tony not very happy. Plus, Elijah, postpones the wedding leaving Leah, unsure of what's going on.

Leah, ends her relationship with Elijah, who leaves to help out with the current earthquake. Dexter, meets Marilyn, and is instantly smitten with her. Later, Alf receives a delivery for Marilyn a bouquet of flowers - but who sent them?

Bianca and April, get thrown out of their rental place. Xavier, persuades Gina, to let them stay for a while. Angelo, tells Alf, he might have to delay opening, but Charlie and Alf gather volunteers up to help out. Indi and Romeo continue to grow closer. Ruby gets jealous watching Bianca and Liam's friendship develop.

Angelo, continues to stress however Charlie, reassures him. Charlie notices Ruby's bizarre behaviour. Dexter, tries to hid his crush on Marilyn and jokes with her in front of a puzzled Sid. Romeo and Indi, play '20 questions'. Sid confides in Marilyn about how Penn, told Nicole that he has a crush on her. Sid tries to talk to Nicole. The restaurant gets completed.

Liam tells Ruby they can't see each other any more after Bianca, berates him. Nicole learns some home truths about Penn but thinks Miles, Marilyn and Sid are deliberately trying to wreck her relationship with Penn. Gina and John feel tension in the house with it being so full.

Ruby gets drunk and ends up at Liam's place after Bianca tells her off. Nicole, questions Penn, after seeing Miles, Marilyn and Sid. Penn denies it all on the way to fetch Ruby. Charlie and Angelo, host a meal in the restaurant for Tony, Rachel, Leah, Miles and Daniel - Tony and Rachel are soon bickering.

Dex doesn't dare help Romeo guess Indigo's surprise to win a dinner. It's just that she's a waitress at Angelo's. Despite some cancellations and technical snags, the restaurant's grand opening is a clear success. Tony is furious that Rachel considered moving to Boston without even consulting him. Although far from impressed by a plea-visit from Daniel, he consults Miles whether refusing is selfish but is sold one can't just sacrifice one's own happiness and home.

Romeo, who senses another oddly prank, is reluctant to teach Indigo surfing, fearing too many painful memories of Annie, but ultimately decides to risk it. Tony feels after consideration that his whole life is in Australia, so he's appalled to hear that after another meeting with Daniel, behind his back, Rachel has already accepted the American 'dream job', as the other candidate has an alternative offer. Leah's heartbreak over Elijah's absence disables her professionally.

An inoffensive package from her Milan ex Viottorio sends Bianca in another insane rage, now lashing out at Palmer, although it's just chocolates, so Gina gives the ego-bitch her marching orders, as April and Xavier feared all along. Dex masterly gets Marilyn to invite homology on dinner-date with Sid and outshines his dad every sentence.

Irene, confides in Colleen, that she fills lonely since Annie and Geoff, left. Colleen suggests she gets a life. Irene, offers April and Bianca, a place to stay. Ruby, confesses to Charlie, about her kissing Liam. Charlie, worried, speaks to Liam. Alf, tells Angelo, to take it easy at the restaurant otherwise he'll have a heart attack. Xavier, blames John for Gina, booting April and Bianca, out and makes his feelings known.

Now April has moved out with Bianca to Irene's, Xavier is in no mood to lay family and blames both ma and Palmer, yet agrees to a factual truce with him for her sake. Penn promises Nicole to let off Sid to get back on kissing terms and regains her unconditional trust against Miles and all his friends.

Romeo refuses to let Indy dictate their budding affair's timing, yet ends up feeling guilty for 'demanding benefits without commitment' and makes up by kissing. Dex invites himself to lunch with Marilyn and submits her to an endless questionnaire to test her suitability for dad Sid, which she considers cute, pa doubts but accepts. Miles seems successful as stand-in for absent Elijah with VJ, to Leah's grateful relief.

After their kiss, Romeo and Indy spend all the night together, then have second thoughts, fearing romance could compromise their friendship. Finding that's mutual, they ultimately agree happily to progress slowly and cautiously. Angelo admits he's overworked and agrees to take Charlie away for a day off, but has to put that off again because of staff sickness. Tony avoids another pointless discussion with inconsiderate Rachel. By the time he takes Miles's advice to try anyway, he discovers she has already booked a single Boston ticket after accepting the job. Worse, ...

Dex convinces Sid his fussing around Marilyn is not to break them up, on the contrary. Dex grudgingly accepts to apologize for the invasive questionnaire, which she graciously accepts while commending his filial devotion. Tony and Rachel are furious at each-other and themselves. Rachel admits to Leah she's scared to emigrate too but won't admits so as it would make Tony's point, then accepts a suggestion to seek an ally overseas by calling Lucas. When Mr. Oddly turns up at furious Alf's bedroom fan, Marilyn accepts to have the puppet burnt as part of a closure 'ritual...

Romeo was worried sick to tell Indy he's still a virgin, but once he gathers the courage she's relieved it's 'just that'. Filling in for a hospital colleague forces Sid to be late at the romantic picnic he promised Marilyn. Dex volunteers to take over the preparations, exactly to her taste, but also arranges them to be out of phone reach. Tony considers Rachel inviting Lucas behind his back another insensitive move. Penn is back, convinces Nicole she's the one for him despite all his lies and plants a syringe o the beach she 'accidentally' prickles herself on.

Romeo and Indy are now happy without pressure. Xavier accepts April's assurance that Bianca finally seems to behave at Irene's and living with his ex is no problem. Ruby however hates it enough to ask Leah if she can move in back with her. Sid tests Nicole whom Penn brought in after the mystery syringe injection and stresses she'll probably suffer no consequences, but maximal safety requires a horrible 3 months preemptive cure. Dexter enjoys his perfectly romantic picnic with Marilyn, until Sid finally tracks them down, unamused to ignore their whereabouts.

As the time for Rachel to leave to Boston approaches, both spouses get desperate. Gina meanly sides against Tony, who can't see any point in rehashed discussions. Rachel finally realizes his desperate need to stay is linked to Jack's grave, and promises to stay for his firstborn's sainted memory. Just that willingness for sacrifice rekindles his marital love, so he accepts to emigrate after all. Xavier is commended for growing up enough no longer to need a paternally acting uncle. Jack gets a last grave bouquet.

Angelo tells bitterly how a fire accident cause him to miss out on taking over the family restaurant and estranged him from his relatives during his whole police career. After insanely abusive Bianca publicly slapped Liam at school, Gina grills him worst, shows to comprehension and punishes both with virtual weekend detention, inventorying the school library all summer long.

Just when Palmer and Alf think they managed down-tuning the town's image damage over the syringe incident, 'well-meaning' Penn takes sensationalist newspaper reporter Megan to dinner spilling the beans and informs local TV. Meanwhile Ruby decides to thank ma for being cooler with a surprise gift, for lack of better ideas a bottle of wine. Being a minor, she convinces Indy to sell her one from Angelo's restaurant, which is illegal for all three of them. Charlie catches them and lacks the good sense to handle things discretely.

Angelo's restaurant wouldn't suffer much damage if he accepts a reprimand for Indy and Ruby's stupidity, but he's determined to let the court decide, which means a major risk. Liam taunts Bianca by claiming she's looking forward to their joint library inventory punishment. Marilyn tells Sid she suspects Dex's strange behavior stems from a crush on her.

Romeo prevents Indy feeling guilty instead of blaming inconsiderate Ruby, whom nobody believes anymore. Alf convinces Angelo the restaurant needs a responsible bar manager and accepts the position, while insisting Indy must be held responsible. After telling Charlie how he really lost the family restaurant by taking the blame for his spineless brother once too often, Angelo decides against a crazy court-risk and fires Indy.

Xavier enjoys holding a marker on Palmer, yet is prepared to call it just to enforce his unwilling support for an environmental project the municipal council must approve. While Leah thinks VJ is over Elijah being on relief mission in Africa, Miles helps them sneakily correspond.

To Xavier's disappointment, April won't hear of him blackmailing Palmer, she even makes him take that back. However he impresses with a ploy, telling Gina how pleased they are with John cooperation, hoping he won't dare undo her gratitude. Miles fails to tells Leah about Elijah's correspondence with VJ or convince to write him too. Penn wears he mended his ways and will only act in Nicole's interest.

Dex slaves over a literary lover letter for Marilyn but has doubts after delivering it. As she calls it beautiful but inappropriate, Dex persuades her not to show it to Sid by claiming it's a creative writing test. Sid gets Penn as bloodily beaten-up emergency patient, naming Alf, who indeed roughly warned him off, as his assailant.

Dex denies his feelings for Marilyn when she openly asks him as if unimaginable. Sid has no alternative but report to the police Penn's accusation Alf beat him up, albeit calling unstable Penn a pathological liar. Penn pulls trough the second surgery. Alf refuses to produce a verifiable alibi or explanation and is formally charged, hence jailed until his bail hearing. Leah senses lush Ruby's apologies are fake.

Romeo applies for lifeguard and needn't reassure Indy long about loosing her waiting job at Angelo's as Irene offers her another. Angelo and Colleen worry about the possible visit of a food critic, but the suspect they all fuzz about turns out to be none other then Angelo's brother Paolo Rosetta. Penn regains conscience and gets Alf off the hook by declaring he was beaten up by three strangers in a red car. Dex dodges a lecture from Sid about his presumed crush.

Romeo breaks up his first full kiss with Indy, but soon builds up enough confidence to resume, at least until Sid turns up. Angelo gives his cheerful brother Paolo, whom he alone still calls Paulie, a cold welcome, while Charlie is charmed and hence puzzled. As Angelo expected, Paolo admits in private to be in desperate need of help no-one else can give him. After more tough bickering, Liam and Bianca obey their instinct to kiss. Informed by Angelo Paolo wasn't the food critic, Irene and especially Colleen panic and bumble again with next 'suspect' Carlos.

Xavier ponders Charlie's request to hand over $30,000 from Hugo's cash to help out Angelo's brother Paolo. Romeo warns him it may even by a dirty police trick. Palmer convinces him while they work on the Mad max model wreck to get over fears and chose rationally. Liam walks out on Bianca's dinner, to her fury, after her confession still to love Vittorio. Miles can't reassure Leah writing Elijah was right.

Romeo has suddenly lost his voice. Sid diagnoses some yet undetermined allergy. Indeed, it's Indy's lipstick, so after changing that they resume like their first kissing session. Xavier and April are delighted that Palmer's campaign help gets both proposals accepting in the town council. Xavier can't stand having to lie at home, expecting to fall trough as always, and warns April he'll spill the beans if she doesn't come clean on the Swedish non-approval. Paolo is startled after all when Angelo actually confirms he won't help out financially, then suggests informing their parents and finally calls them himself. Sid diagnoses John's condition not too bad, pointing out a healthier lifestyle should do the trick. Xavier overhears how Palmer and his ma commit former then ever. At school, Ruby looks only to gentle ex Xavier for support after Liam's sudden departure.

Paolo rages furiously at big brother Angelo and his hostile lover for actually telling the Rosetta parents the truth rather then bailing him out again. Yet the brothers soon make up and drive off together, hoping to mend Paolo's predicament. Miles convinces Leah to stop imagining the worst and call Elijah, which yields the prospect of being together, with VJ, alternatively in Australia and Africa. Mitzy confides to Marilyn she herself has incurable cancer.

Despite Sid's reassurance, Palmer says it feels like his time is up. Dex bumps into Mitzy, hears she's terminal and cheers her up surprisingly well, only to feel cornered when she tries to kiss him again. Penn keeps stalking people, and tells Alf and Miles, who deny him open gratitude for saving John, he's determined to revenge his pa, who couldn't cope with ma's death and feels a failure as educator.

Prince Vittorio wastes no time moving onto the ground rival Liam abandoned, taking Bianca to dinner and handling the press by confirming he came to Australia for her. After a gloomy day in Miles's class with gold-fish Marilyn, Dex returns the substitute sweetheart to the pet shop, which leads to date with its Goth clerk Adrian Hall. Miles is finally in a confident mood again, but when he starts flirting with new caravan-client Shandy, she casually mentions being Palmer's daughter.

Shandi tells John she's his daughter, leaving Miles worried about how he'll react to their relationship, while Charlie comes up with an unexpected solution to her and Angelo's relationship problems.

Prince Vittorio slickly maneuvers April and bride Bianca to admit neither has a valid reason to question or effectively put off the wedding, yet no date is set. Dex tricks Adrian to meet him again but only achieves a 'clean break-up', yet Sid and Marilyn have a heard time finding out his mood and how it cam to be. After Penn confirms his threat of extensive revenge, Alf gives in to Miles's panic by agreeing to call in the police.

As Penn's migraine worsens, he becomes more aggressive and threatens even Angelo, who just can't pay back his private loan. Will Smith arrives unexpectedly, moving in with Irene for a while with his elder daughter Lily asher mother Gipsy probably wrecked their marriage for good. Even after Angelo volunteers to take over from Charlie as driving instructor, silly chatterbox Ruby still doesn't behave sensibly. Shandy flirts on.

Constable Avery does a good job investigating the disappearance of Penn and bloody sheets in his hotel room, but Charlie not only believes Angelo's innocence as given, she also goes easy on Alf. Romeo is hurt by Indy's lies and deception, like Sid, and refuses to discuss Annie's letter.

Xavier convinces John, while working on their Mad Max car, not to give up on prosing to his ma, who again reacts icy. Romeo gets Indy to implicitly admit she's the only one in the wrong, yet forgives her with a kiss-sealed declaration of love. Only Angelo remains fairly optimistic about the investigation into Penn's presumed murder after senior detective Robert Robertson takes over, assisted by young detective 'Doogie' Graves, who instantly becomes Dex's latest crush.

Robertson continues his interrogations, apparently working on the theory the sequins are from Nicole's dress and protective Alf at least removed Penn's corps. Xavier and April push Palmer to try again with Gina, but she only seems to play along to humor the kids. Will is not amused by Irene bugging him about seeing Shandi as if that could significantly worsen his family crisis.

Slooth Robertson must discard Nicole as suspect on account of too tacky sequins and switches his attention to Miles and even absent Leah. Dex is now besotted with his assistant Doogie, however aloof, even ditches a class to follow her around begging for a lunch date. About to enter Vittorio's hotel room, Biance backs off after a memory flash of seeing him in bed with a rival.

Prince Vittorio gets Bianca's assurance that only the vision of his infidelity stands between a reconciliation, not Liam, who meanwhile actually is trying to call her. Will is far from amused tat Irene contacted his wife Gipsy behind his back and believes her version the separation isn't a done deal. After seducing Miles, Shandi now leaves the bay. Hunky instructor Alexander Pitt conducts swooning Ruby's first driving lesson professionally, then assures her he'll consider dating after she passes the exam.

Prince Vittorio Seca manages to have shower sex with Bianca, after which the wedding is back on, even a date fixed in just four weeks. Only April notices that a mailbox message from Liam still distresses Bianca, but her urging to think that trough before committing for life is discarded. Ruby convinces herself that driving instructor Alexander Pitt's refusal to date after her last lesson means not interested, Nicole points out he probably just waits for her exam. Busibody Irene's nagging drives Will to admit Gipsy caught him at one 'meaningless' infidelity.

Robert Robertson gets forensic confirmation it was a murder, so he steps up the investigation. Next suspect to be grilled is Penn's loan beneficiary Angelo, with sneers for the ex-cop, who remains admirably composed. Will explains his drunk fling was an accident after Gipsy's endless bickering and she left without a word for him or their children, then reassures his daughter they can stay in Summer Bay. Miles is as relieved as Nicole when Sid confirms she's not HIV-infected.

Xavier cleverly convinces Palmer that his mother would admire him pushing trough the bottles ban, but pigheaded Gina refuses to attend the council meeting, so disappointed John bails out on account of stress risks, which Gina scolds him for. Sid and Marilyn, whom Robertson tricks into telling during a cards reading she 'dreamt' of Alf murdering Penn, fail to discourage Dex's infatuation with Dougie, so Robertson orders her to accept provided it's a double date at Angelo's.

Xavier, April and ultimately Gina are proud and grateful when, after a last push from Alf, Palmer returns to the council and pleads their ecologist cause glowingly, even if the bottled water ban isn't passed. Dex drags puzzled Indy and suspicious Romeo along to Angelo's on a 'double date' with Dougie, who fails to get anything out of them and confesses to Dex it was all a ploy from Robertson.

Romeo makes crystal clear to Indy he's fed up with her insulting doubts about Annie, yet ultimately decides to let his lips do the convincing. Sid tries to convince Marilyn nobody will hold her dream about Alf's part in Penn's murder against her and has no clue what her prediction of an important arrival in town applies too- it's Alf's daughter Roo. Ruby's inability to learn double parking ceases as soon as instructor Alexander promises a date as prize.

Prince Vittorio Seca is looking for a house after the wedding and accepts Bianca's suggestion to rent rather then buy 'on the spur'. Both ignore Liam is back in town, with a new biker chick. Romeo concentrates on his exams. When Will brings his daughter to school, she rebels against the move and ma's absence. Alf is delighted with the visit from his daughter Roo, but ignores she's constantly being called about debts and marital troubles.

Xavier tells Palmer he'll understand if the car repair deal if off as his ma seems a lost cause, but changes his mind on John's chances after reading her attitude. Prince Vittorio courteously meets and welcomes Liam and his new biker girl over dinner with Bianca, who still hides her doubts. Liam gets his music teacher job back as it still wasn't filled yet. Sid tells Marilyn Mitzy only faked to have invented the deadline, while insisting it's medically absurd.

VJ is elated after adventurously visiting his hero Elijah in Africa, but Leah confides in Miles they broke up. She considers picking up with Robertson, who meanwhile focuses on wanted Roo, who learns about Tulip and delivers a letter from Hugo requesting help to Gina. Xavier keeps questioning Plamer and probing ma about a reconciliation, but the pair keeps the truth from him. The prospect of dating hunky instructor Alexander makes Ruby butterfingers except during driving lessons, but Nicole sees him kiss another girl.

Miles gets a letter that Elijah was injured and needs help in Africa. Leah wants to go herself, but Miles persuades her to leave it to him 'for VJ's sake' after Robertson promises as reward to file his report to HQ, which is likely to let murder suspect Alf off the hook. After Alexander Pitt admits he wasn't quite broken up with his 'ex' Gabby, his correct Ruby is reputedly no better is ignored. Charlie even abuses her uniform to illegally scare-blackmails the innocent man into an abject apology. Ruby overhears her discussing the ploy with Angelo, who saw straight ...

Detective Robertson is resigned to the likely suspension of Penn's murder case for lack of evidence, ignoring that a corps just washed upon the beach. He dines with Leah, fearing he has to return to the city, while she waits for news about Elijah from Miles. After Dougie refuses to have any further contact with him, Dex is a wreck, refusing to get up even when Romeo drops by. Sid drags Dex out of bed but finds him most unappreciative of a lecture to Graves for rudely abusing a minor, albeit at Robertson's instigation.

Detective Robert Robertson is delighted that Penn's beached-up corps, which Palmer found, saves his murder investigation. Thus he can also remain close to Leah, who needs consolation while awaiting news from Miles about Elijah. Liam is back at school, but Romeo notices and get Liam's assurance that his 'new girl-friend' is far from steady and passes that on to Bianca. Vittorio only wonders why she's not more interested in planning their wedding. Gina isn't inclined to hand Roo Hugo's cash back.

Xavier pushes Pamer about his presumed rival, although her only other dinner date is just Roo, in secret because it concerns Hugo, until John confides in him he's her 'affair'. Vittorio and Liam both join the school's litter picking supervision, each cockily posing as if Bianca's only true love. Robertson's next puzzle piece is a missing knife from Alf's, traced to a beer supplier.

Xavier tries to come to terms with Palmer dating his ma again in secret, and convinces her only openly is fair. At Angelo's, Robertson makes an appointment to interrogate Sid at home, but delegates that to Doogie, which puts Dex trough another, utterly unprepared round of embarrassment, ending in her cold suggestion he should stop seeking mother substitutes. Alf denies to Roo, who still told nobody about her debts, there is any evidence against him, but secretly burns the suspect type of knife. VJ is deeply hurt when told Leah broke up with Elijah, but still seems interested enough in Lily to be distracted. Will loses his self-control, smashing things at Irene's, after receiving mail, presumably divorce papers, from Gipsy, who won't even discuss it over the phone. Will no longer cares if Alf has to cancel his bait shop job. Gina has found out Roo's desperate financial situation, openly fears she might be after Hugo's cash for herself, lets accepts their kids are worth that huge risk.

Dex is back under the living and generously accepts Sid's request to invite Marilyn into the family, while fickle Indy hesitates. Will resolves to get his life back on the rails so he can fight for paternal custody, even if that means running the bait-shop without pay. Detective Robertson continues the murder investigation with a knives-based theory that Will, who arrived just then, could have killed Penn as a favor to say Alf.

Romeo finished brilliant exams, even Indy now hopes to pass. Gina refuses a formal dance (prom) just because some earlier editions meant trouble, so Romeo decides to organize one 'informally'. Angelo accepts to host it if supervised by five adults (Liam volunteers) and with a $5,000 bond, which is provided by Marilyn, who wants to enjoy passing out belongings before her 'end-date' anyhow but can't even get people to listen carefully. Xavier's shy request on April's behalf to organize a bachelor party for Vittorio (to prevent him chaperoning with Bianca, thus forced to see Liam) is embraced as a networking opportunity. Palmer also helps Gina arrange the return of Hugo's cash, by appointing Roo his 'US consultant'. Robertson convinces Leah, who confiscates VJ's phone for calling Miles in Africa, he didn't mean to use her, while further turning the screws on Will and Alf. feeling neglected, VJ and Will's daughter lily run away.

When VJ and Lily's fugue 'to Africa' is discovered, Robertson takes charge. He's successful in finding them, but also learns Will admitted to his daughter having done a very bad thing, so is that just his adultery? Dex accepted to help Ruby, who is pressed to find her match within Mitzy's lunatic deadline, by driving her to parties. Alas Sid noticed his car was missing and reported it stolen, so the police stops them. Sid is so uncomfortable with Marilyn handing out possessions that he can't accept his gift, causing her to move out for a cooling-off.

Dex gets off without formal car theft charge but gets grounded, which he calls a cool step in becoming a normal teenager, just as slipping out to ingrate Ruby, who pretends it's all his fault. Angelo patiently tries to mediate between Charlie and Ruby, without any clarity how paternal his role is to be. Sid and Marilyn make up, so she moves back in. John insists Roo must d some real consulting for him, indeed the police already suspects their game and warns her.

Both parties are held simultaneously. Prince Vittoria and his ma hide politely how bored they are, yet Palmer is confident his networking move is working. At the seniors prom, Angelo's worries seem exaggerated. Only Ruby, who ignored her grounding, is publicly dragged from the dance-floor with 'dream date' Jackson by Charlie. On the porch outside, Liam assures Bianca his fling dumped him as she rightly believed him in love with Bianca, who kisses him.

Angelo's precarious position between Charlie and Ruby is eased when the last decides against moving out. Despite having kissed Liam, Bianca tells him that meant nothing and sticks to marrying Vittorio. April resigns as bridesmaid, pushy ma nevertheless meddles in the festive preparations. Nicole accepts to mend the dress.
