Heather rushes to the hospital to be with the Chief. Digger tries to reconnect with a family member while Ed worries about his partner's drinking. Ace and Chad get a new EMT to ride along with them.

Chief Allen confronts Digger about their former friendship. Heather struggles through her shift with the secret she shares with Allen. Ace gets Dee involved in his side job. Bob interviews candidates to replace Ace.

The Chief returns to work and gets an unexpected visitor. Digger has a sit down with his wife. Chad is partnered with Kevin who responds to a frequent flyer. Ace and Ed are still training the newbie who has a run in with Morgan.

Digger returns to work after completing his rehab. Barb comes to help Heather with the new baby. Ace has to complete sensitivity training with Bob. Ed learns about Urban Dictionary while sharing an explicit video he found. Dee shares an unexpected turn of events with Mitchell.

The Chief spends the day in the hospital with Heather. Ed makes a blunder at work that affects Digger. Chad is the talk of the station when Morgan is in the news. Dee is determined to find out who the couple is in the video.

The series wraps with Digger celebrating sobriety and Allen knowing his time is getting shorter.
