Acting Chief Bob gets some bad news, and Heather has some news of her own. Digger is fresh out of rehab, and Chad squares off with his new partner who may has a secret.

While Ed is still on leave Digger is partnered with the new/old guy, Ace, who has a bucket list to fulfill. Bonnie tries to get a reluctant Heather to buy a pair of reading glasses. Morgan tries to stir up some drama for the show.

Ed returns to work, but not to Digger's liking. Chad tries to stay low as he fears Gordon's escape. Morgan suggests that Bob makes some changes in the crew after a test audience returns lackluster results. An old face returns via FaceTime.

The 80's Incident recreates some of the best scenes from 1980s cult films including; Goonies, Better Off Dead, Porky's, Ferris Bueller, Footloose, and Top Gun. Riggs joins the team. Chad is kidnapped by Gordon's henchmen. Chief and Heather get closer.

Jae says a word that should never be spoken at the firehouse. Heather and Ace try to help an abused woman. Ed gets some interesting results researching his ancestry. Morgan coaxes acting Chief Bob to try some product placement and continues to pump Chad for seed money.

Linda Cashman, a TV Reporter with the SHAME Network, goes to a surprise birthday party for the Chief thrown by Heather. Linda hopes to catch the party goers' reactions as Karen Gordon is in the middle of a police car chase down I-95.
