Season 2 deals with the aftermath of Jenkins and Ed being shot. New changes are happening at Sandville County Fire/EMS, and not everyone is happy. Dudley has big news.

Ed is paired with the down and out Digger, who is not happy he is being forced onto the ambulance. To make matters worse they get brand new EMT Kimberly as a ride-along. Chad is in charge of organizing the annual BBQ which he feels he is more than qualified to do. However, the rest of his co-workers decide to make the BBQ more interesting by setting Chad up to fail.

Paragods pays homage to The Breakfast Club in this episode with Heather and the gang doing mandatory training on a Saturday. Sam has a busy shift with Kim, the newbie. The Chief gets an unexpected visitor at home.

Karen informs the Chief that advertisements will be placed on the ambulances to raise extra money, while Amy decides to make Karen's life miserable. Digger is having relationship problems.

Digger asks Katie out on a date, but soon finds out she is not what she appears. Chad is hoping to rekindle his love with Karen. Heather and Kim get a very unusual call.

In the season 2 finale Chad is caught being where he shouldn't be. Heather tries to avoid Matt's phone calls. while Ed comes face to face with the man who tried to kill him.

Digger and Ed decide to go golfing.

Ed and Digger come up with a plan to find out if Sam is packing. So, they invite her to a pool party.
