A special one-off, late night episode ahead of Des's new series, with Robert Redford discussing his new film The Horse Whisperer. Also appearing are the Corrs, Adam Garcia, opposition leader William Hague and Des's neighbour, Brian Conley.

As Des's new series is moved to Friday nights, he gets to join in a jam with the Bee Gees, telling them it doesn't matter what key they're in. Also appearing are Steve Coogan, Robbie Williams, Samantha Janus and Chris Patten.

Des finds himself in the presence of royalty as Prince Edward is one of his guests on the show. Also appearing are Steve Coogan, Natalie Imbruglia, Lee Evans, Eoin McCarthy and The Beautiful South.

Des's guests include Dolly Parton.

Jasper Carrott talks to Des about his first steps into comedy and what irritates him in modern life. Also on the show are Sir John Mills, Johnny Briggs, William Roache, Kevin Connelly, Dina Carroll and Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

Cliff Richard talks about the possibility of plastic surgery, accidentally recording a song about a prostitute, and wanting to swear. Included among the other guests is Shania Twain, and a comedian making his debut on the show: Andy Ford.

Des's guests include Lennox Lewis, Diana Rigg, Tom Jones, Jeff Green and Kele Le Roc.

Des gets Cher and Julian Clary together on the sofa to talk about romance and movie projects, and to hear Cher's new single "Believe". Among the other guests are Vinnie Jones, Mike Reid, Des'ree and US comedian Steve McGrew.

Des greets a young Charlotte Church, whose album, "Voice of an Angel", is due to be released the following Monday. Among Des's other guests is Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.

The Spice Girls come on for a chat and to sing "Goodbye", but Norman Wisdom also has his own festive song to celebrate the occasion. Included among Des's other guests are Barry Manilow, Joe Pasquale and Jackie Mason.
