Eva Montgomery searches for her beloved son Jason, questioning former daughter-in-law Alexis. Sean, Nicole and Salina take legal action to stop Michael from terminating support to Mia. Desiree' confronts Deanna about her partnership with Eric. Nancy confesses to Carlos. Sean is brutally attacked and sexually assaulted by a masked assailant.

After being sexually assaulted by a masked assailant, Sean feels further victimized by detectives who insensitively question his story. Later, Salina arrives to console Sean and is informed that the attacker also stole Sean's wallet which contains a wedding ring attached to a chain that belonged to Julian. (Sean's husband who was killed in an explosion on their wedding day). Despite his admittance of being a sex addict, Carlos makes love to Nancy. Afterwards, Evan aggressively confronts Carlos for his rape of Sean which was not part of Evan's plan. Carlos assures Evan...

Alexis sees an opportunity to escape her captor and takes it only to be stopped when Eva sadistically reveals to her that she has found her long lost 10 year old grandson Caleb and uses him as leverage against Alexis. Eva makes Alexis one last proposition, either tell her the whereabouts of her son Jason or say goodbye to her son forever. Nancy confronts Carlos about the Wedding ring and he devises a story to cover his tracks. Later, Nancy is confronted by Dominique and tries to share her concerns about the gentrification of Anacostia. Evan has a unpleasant encounter ...

DeAnna and Desiree' seek the help from their cousin Melissa who tells them what happened to Sean. Later, DeAnna blames herself for what has happened to both Mia and Sean. Maurice agrees to visit with Jennifer at the psychiatric. Jennifer begs Maurice to forgive her for shooting both him and Mia which placed her in a coma. Jennifer doesn't remember the incident...or does she? Nancy visits with her brother Michael and tries to make peace with him. However, Michael has other plans. Evan meets with Carlos and asks him for yet another favor. Michael starts to unravel and ...

Mia returns to the neighborhood after awakening from her coma; However, her demeanor causes concern among her closest friends. Evan confronts Carlos about his lack of effort in getting access to Nancy's money. A new couple (Kenneth and Megan Brooks) moves into town to start over. Carlos devises a manipulative plan to get access to Nancy's money.

Salina and Nancy are both disturbed by news that the body of Salina's Father has been discovered. Sean decides to put his home up for sell and is introduced to an unexpected realtor. Dominique threatens one of her clients in exchange for his service. Salina tries to console her mother but is confronted about her Father's death. Michael's plan for Nancy starts to unfold.

Mia tries to reconnect with Sean but their reunion takes an unexpected turn for the worse. Dominique grows frustrated by the failed attempts to locate where Eva is holding Alexis hostage. Nicole gets encouraging news from her estranged husband. Nancy discovers why she hasn't been feeling like herself lately. Salina succumbs to her dependency to alcohol which results in tragic consequences.

Emotions overflow after the accidental death of Salina. While her friends gather to say their final farewells, Scott is overcome with grief and guilt. Michael confronts Sean about his conversation with Mia. Cliff and Que may have found the missing link they need to find Eva and Alexis. Nancy has a very unpleasant encounter with Dominique. Scott seeks ways to dull his pain.

A traumatized Sean continues to have nightmares about his attacker and Julian's stolen ring. Alexis realizes that she may have an unlikely ally in one of her captors. Dominique, Que, and Cliff question a woman from Eva's past, finding out more than they bargained for. A conversation with Michael accidentally unlocks an emotional memory for Mia. Sean gets an unexpected visit, heralding the beginning of the end for Carlos.

Sean confronts Nancy about the ring she's wearing that belonged to Julian and realizes that Carlos is his rapist. Eva, growing tired of Alexis' refusal to tell her the whereabouts of Jason, takes matters into her own hands.
