Our story continues with the aftermath of Raymond's plot to stop the same-sex wedding of Sean and Julian by detonating a bomb during the ceremony.

With complex relationships tested by romance, family, careers, drugs, religion and force majeure, the residents of historic Washington, D.C. neighborhood Anacostia struggle to survive. Though the odds are overwhelming, they remain hopeful, drawing strength from their complicated, yet resilient friendships

Scott has devastating news for Salina. Sean visits Nicole in rehab to give her support for New Years Eve. Nancy confronts Dominique only to be surprised by Alexis who gives Nancy a ominous warning. While out during New Years Eve celebrations, Sean runs into an old boyfriend and then a is given the shock of his life afterwards.

Sean gets surprising information from Deanna. Jennifer seeks help from Diane. Mia returns from her trip to Vegas with shocking news. Salina continues to distance herself from Scott while Cliff and Dominique fight over Cy. Nicole receives Divorce papers from Andre' and Nancy learns a secret about Carlos.

Eric confronts Deanna about leaving witness protection. An univited guest crashes Alexis party. Gary tries to show Sean that he's changed. Scott has suspicions about Salina. Nancys daughter's new boyfriend has a secret.

April develops a plan to get even with her Mother. Sean confronts Eric about his secret. Nancy comes home to a surprise. Maurice decides to leave Jennifer. Scott sees Salina in the arms of another man. Nancy and April have a fight. A familiar face of the past makes his presence known.

Dominique acquires a new ally for a plan. Carlos seeks forgiveness from a jilted Nancy. Eric shares with Mia his concerns about one of her friends. Eric seeks help in dealing with Sean. Meanwhile Sean hatches a plan that could force Eric to come clean to Mia. Salina is confronted by her Mother regarding her Fathers whereabouts. Someone is watching Salina from the not so distant past.

Salina tries to put the past behind her but when Nancy gets a special delivery the past may be harder to forget than they think. Eric tries to play nice with Deanna in order to get information from her. Jennifer sinks deeper into depression. Sean and Gary have a argument about Julian. Tim tries to gain information from April about Nancy's safety deposit box key. Seans plan works which upsets Eric.

Eric begins to panic and in an effort to give himself more time, he tells Mia a lie about Sean. Jennifer spirals out of control. Dominique continues to distance Cliff from her organization. Mia confronts Sean over allegations made by Eric. A horrible plan has dire consequences for the wrong person.
