As a storm rolls over Gloucester, some captains pack it in, while others bet against Mother Nature.

With the fishing migration of the elusive catch in an unpredictable state, some fisherman resort to espionage for information. While their tactics help them gather 'intel,' to bring them to the fish, their spying also reveals more about each other.

The turbulent waters have the boats going head-to-head, trying to out-muscle and outsmart their opponents. When old and new rivals clash on the high seas, the pressure is on each captain to land a fish before their adversary.

Charging into the heart of the season, The Hot Tuna has held the top spot since week one, putting a giant target on its back. Any one fish could be the ticket to push someone into the lead, but landing the next prize tuna is easier said than done.

It's almost halfway through the season and the Gloucester fleet has hit a lull. Desperation to pay his crew, and determination after falling out of first place drives Captain TJ Ott to steam 150 miles to Georges Bank to find the elusive fish.

Competition amongst the Gloucester fleet intensifies when tuna become scarce. It only takes one good day of fishing to reverse any boat's fortune and the captains hope to land a few more tuna before time runs out.

The captains are feeling the pressure to catch and several are trying new techniques to land Bluefin. With only six weeks left, out- of-the-box methods prove successful for some, while the boats who fail to change face disappointment.

Time is running out and every boat in the Gloucester fleet is facing a different challenge. Being a successful Bluefin fisherman demands true grit, and, when times are tough, it becomes clear who is a contender and who's a pretender.

The tuna fishermen of Gloucester, Massachusetts, know that they have to rely on each other to get the job done, but sometimes trusting the competition isn't such a good idea.

There is only one week left of fishing left in the North Atlantic Bluefin Tuna season and the Gloucester fleet is set for a final showdown in a bid to catch the last monster tuna of the year.
