CIB swiftly barge into a disgruntled Sun Hill, suspend the entire CID department and conduct their investigations into the activities of the corrupt DS Don Beech.

With Brownlow gone and CID obliterated, the CIB set to work interviewing the disgraced detectives. Back at their office, Stanton vows to bring Beech to justice.

Following the sweep of Sun Hill CID, the new replacements arrive in addition to rebuilding a positive image to the public. Meanwhile, a retained DCI Meadows is assigned to an investigation of harassment to a family, where an old flame appears.

A pressured DCI Meadows continues the investigation into the Freeley murder case.
