Step into Morrison's Irish Pub and you feel like you're walking into a pub in Ireland. From the décor, to the sea shanty singers, to the traditional Irish fare and large selection of whiskey, Morrison's brings Ireland to Illinois. However, Lisa Morrison, Mary Morrison and Katey Vankirk have been struggling since they opened in 2015, most recently thinking of closing their doors.

When they started making large batches of their soul food like snoots, chicken, and catfish at home to sell to friends in and around Alton. While their food may be popular, they find themselves barely getting by. With a loyal following, they need to expand their customer base beyond Alton in order to stay in business.

When Jay (Hart) Stanley was looking for a way to invest money left to him by his late father, he turned to his friend Alex St. Cin, a sound engineer, who suggested they start a recording studio in their hometown of Alton. And Lighthouse Sounds was born. As the youngest business owners ever featured on the series, these friends have found it not only challenging being co-owners of a business, but also making the studio a destination for out of town acts.

It's been a year since Deluxe Corporation and the Small Business Revolution team invested $500,000 into Alton, Illinois and six of its businesses. Amanda Brinkman, chief brand and communications officer for Deluxe, along with her team of marketing experts, and renovation icon Ty Pennington, spent much of 2018 providing marketing and financial expertise to the town and businesses in hopes of moving Alton's businesses forward. Now, a year later, Amanda returns to check-in with each of the businesses, and the town leaders to see how they're faring.
