Fitpiet and Kokpiet sing a longer version of the opening song.

Although he is not allowed to go with him Jonas follows his grandpa to the secret castle of saint Nicolas. While hiding in the castle he sees a villain sabotaging the gifts machine.

Fitpiet finds a boat in the water which means there is another person in the castle. The Pieten, however, find no one.

Frits unleashes his centuries old grandfather from a mysterious book. Now back alive Ferdinand The First will take revenge on the man who locked him away in the book: saint Nicolas.

Ferdinand orders Frits to make Frits' secret servant place a centuries old bomb in the gifts machine. The machine is blown to smithereens.

Jonas opens the prism holder which releases the prism back in time to the past. The secret servant of Frits is revealed to be Tuinman, the gardener of saint Nicolas.

Hoofdpiet and Jonas enter the time hole and are suddenly in a very distant past. They see a villain terrorizing children outside the ancient castle.

By placing the robe, the scepter, the book and the crown of saint Nicolas in the center of the castle hall four statues come alive.

Frits locks saint Nicolas and Grandpa in the room of the saint. Hoofdpiet and Jonas, now in the past, try to obtain the artifacts needed to create a new prism.

Kaat helps Hoofdpiet and Jonas escape from the evil henchmen. She, however, risking her stay, also mentions she is the daughter of Tuinman.

Fitpiet and Kokpiet are locked in a chamber. By disguising themselves Jonas and Kaat manage to obtain two additional items of Ferdinand I.

Jonas and Kaat try to distract the henchmen to clear the entrance of the castle.

The plan to create a new prism fails when Grandpa forgets to place the book.

Hoofdpiet and Kaat are imprisoned by Ferdinand I and his henchmen.

Hoofdpiet, Jonas and Kaat try to trick Ferdinand I to take the four artifacts and place them in the center of the hall himself.

The friends succeed in creating the prism. But it is only created in the past which means Hoofdpiet, Jonas and Kaat have to bring it to the present.

Ferdinand I closes the entrance to the present by creating an eternal fire. This imprisons Hoofdpiet and Kaat in the past.

Hoofdpiet and Kaat find out that eternal fire can be extinguished with eternal rain.

Frits and Ferdinand I have Tuinman back on their side.

Jonas, Grandpa and saint Nicolas try to ambush Frits but he manages to escape. Fitpiet and Kokpiet lock Tuinman up and stand guard.

Tuinman manages to escape. When he tries to save saint Nicolas he finds out his trust is severely damaged.

Ferdinand I creates a potion to change humans into frogs but his plan backlashes.

When saving Kaat, Hoofdpiet manages to separate Ferdinand I from Frits.

Frits leaves a note claiming he will leave the saint alone from now on. Tuinman knows for sure this is a lie and meant as a diversion.

Frits uses the prism to release Ferdinand I from his book.

Ferdinand I and Frits are locked in the book and the Evening of the Presents can take place.
