A woman who knows Cecilia hires the guys to find if her husband is having an affair. While working the case Rick finds himself attracted to the woman. They eventually learn what's going on with her husband and try to help him.

Famed primate researcher Dr. Nyri is found dead and his study subject, Joey the chimp, is suspected. Nyri's colleague Lisa hires Rick and AJ to clear the ape with the detectives becoming charmed by the exceptional animal. Several of Nyri's associates exhibit questionable behavior.

A writer specializing in "participatory journalism" is framed for murder after apprenticing himself to the Simons

AJ and Rick are hired by Connie Mitchell whose husband Odell disappeared while honeymooning in the country of Costa Verde. The brothers discover a dodgy divorce scam, an unhelpful US counsel and Downtown also goes missing while helping.

AJ and Rick are hired by a novice witch who has reasons to fear for her life. The brothers find themselves getting stonewalled with Jonathan and a bizarre coven as they delve into the occult.

AJ tries to speed up his recovery from breaking up with Liz by entering the dating scene with varied results. A sex therapist is concerned about an employee's disappearance, hiring Rick and AJ to look into the situation.

AJ and Rick, head to San Francisco to help a cousin Elizabeth who's opening a detective agency. They connect her with a veteran PI Sam Penny, currently tracking an escaped prisoner. The brothers even go to prison to help.

Rick and AJ are hired to find performer Jim Lee who has disappeared with his son Jason but country music sweetheart Bonnie, his ex has custody. The brothers impersonate Nashville stars to uncover some dishonest deals.

A dangerous criminal the Simons put away, Quint is out of prison and he pays a visit claiming he's gone straight. The PIs are on guard but a cat and mouse game starts. Rick is kidnapped and AJ is desperate to save him.

The agency is offered $10,000 but it requires Rick to pretend to be AJ who is on a trip. Complicating matters, AJ needs to assume his brother's identity on returning. The Simon's live are in danger after Gerry's discovered hiding a corpse.

AJ and Rick are called in when a valuable gem is stolen from Nyquist jewelers who suspect their rivals, the Cartons. The brothers find themselves in the midst of a feud and AJ experiences guilt when forced to use his gun.

Rick and AJ become involved in a camp for troubled youth suspected of robberies in an upscale neighborhood. The teens resist help but Julio is arrested for murder and the PI's have ideas about kindly Ross Garrett plus the wealthy kids who hang out at his pharmacy.

Stanley Tate is a highly recruited basketball star being pressured by his brother Gordon to make easy money from gamblers. When a recruiter is murdered AJ and Rick are on the case to help the young man while busting the syndicate.

Sarah Jean finds a cash filled suitcase on her porch and hires the Simon brothers to locate who left it. Rick and AJ trace it to her long missing father Ben, who admits it came from a disrupted drug transaction making the dealer very angry.

Photographer Harrison captures noted mobster Manny Crobett on film but when pursued switches the roll with the vacationing Johnsons. AJ and Rick take the family under their protection, making the park area a dangerous place to be.

A game show host suspects that the show he is currently hosting is fixed. So he turns to the Simons for help because he was already involved in the game show fixing scandal in the 50's even though he was completely innocent. So they try to find out how they're doing it.

AJ and Rick are asked to investigate a case of espionage at a laser research facility. Someone from AJ's past returns and their obsession with him takes a disturbing turn.

A.J. and Rick were at a restaurant when the owner is killed. And while they didn't actually see the incident, they saw a man standing over him with the weapon. The prosecutor whom they know, who is using the case for exposure, is determined to see the man convicted. But they eventually realize the man may be innocent and the prosecutor also knows it but is apparently using them to get someone else.

The brothers have trouble with both the Fed's and the Mob while looking for a eccentric woman's ex-boyfriend all while Rick makes an important life decision.

The brothers start a security company, and are immediately hired to protect a Peruvian national treasure. Despite the very expensive due diligence they apply to the premises on which is it held, it is promptly stolen.

The brothers get in the middle of a divorce involving two of their Mom's best friends.

When a man who's going through a messy divorce hires Rick and A.J. to locate a man who could give vital testimony, they find him bring him to court, he testifies and his wife's alimony suit is dismissed. Later they learn that their client and the man they were hired to find were in cahoots so that he wouldn't have to pay his wife a divorce settlement. When they are unable to prove their client's collusion and Brown tells them to let it go. They decide to turn Brown's cousin Lucky a con man who's just been released from prison. Brown warns them that Lucky is not to be ...

As A.J. runs for city council, Rick probes a case that could link his brother's opponent to murder and illegal toxic-waste dumping.

Rick and A.J travel to Boston and Florida to learn why bad guys want to steal the family journal.
