Longbox of the Damned

Another October is upon us as Longbox of the Damned returns. Moarte takes another trip to the town of Silent Hill to revisit a character from Silent Hill Downpour and what her story was in all this.

Day 2 of Longbox of the Damned. The moon is full and Moarte decides to look at a comic spotlighting the tale of Jack Russell, also known as the Werewolf by Night. As opposed to by day.

Day 3 of Longbox of the Damned has us travel into the woods. Moarte looks at a comic book tie-in to the horror film The Blair Witch Project.

Day 4 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte is on the case, as he takes look at a team of supernatural private investigators in the now defunct The Night Owls series.

Day 5 of Longbox of the Damned. The conclusion to the Batman Vampire trilogy of the Elseworlds line is here. Moarte looks at Batman: Crimson Mist and how the story of the vampire bat concludes.

Day 6 of Longbox of the Damned. You can't have Halloween without creepy in all meanings of the word. Moarte once again visits the best in illustrated horror with the 20th issue of Creepy.

Day 7 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte revisits the crossover event Infestation with the second volume, as the zombie plague continues to spread all across pop culture franchises.

Day 8 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte looks at the body of work of the great Harlan Ellison, starting with a comic adaptation of his seminal work I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream.

Day 9 of Longbox of the Damned comes with no strings attached. Moarte takes his first look at the Puppet Master series of films with three issues of a comic inspired by the franchise.

Day 10 of Longbox of the Damned is going to be super. Moarte takes a look at Superman #344, where the man of steel fights against two classic horror monsters.

Day 11 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte returns to the House of Mystery comics as he takes a look at another volume of the series and more stories within stories.

Day 12 of Longbox of the Damned brings with it quite an odd couple. Moarte takes a look at Monster and Madman and the unusual pairing of Frankenstein and Jack the Ripper.

Day 13 of Longbox of the Damned brings the evils of ancient Egypt. Moarte follows a certain comic reviewer with two issues of a comic where ROM Spaceknight and Shang-Chi fight mummies.

Day 14 of Longbox of the Damned and unfortunately it doesn't come with a discount. Moarte looks at volume 1 of the horror necromancy manga Reiko the Zombie Shop.

Day 15 of Longbox of the Damned. Sometimes it's nice to read a bunch of stories at once. Moarte looks a collection of stories in The Dark Horse Book of Hauntings.

Day 16 of Longbox of the Damned and back to Marvel Zombies...kind of. Moarte reads a comic where Deadpool contends with a zombie plague in Night of the Living Deadpool.

Day 17 of Longbox of the Damned unlocks the door of darkness. Moarte heads back to Marvel for another anthology comic with Chamber of Chills #3.

Day 18 of Longbox of the Damned is going to be a wild one again. Moarte needs to decide between a dog and cat as he revisits the Pet Shop of Horrors with the second volume.

Day 19 of Longbox of the Damned is going to be a hell of a time. Moarte revisits Marvel Spotlight again as this time it shines a light on Daimon Hellstrom, the Son of Satan.

Day 20 of Longbox of the Damned brings us back to Batman. Moarte looks at two issues where the Dark Knight encounters ghosts and other things beyond his normal expertise.

Day 21 of Longbox of the Damned as court is in session once again. Join Moarte for more tales of supernatural monsters and their lawyers in The Sodyssey.

Day 22 of Longbox of the Damned will have you howling in delight. Moarte looks at a few issues of Captain America, where the good Captain encounters werewolves and even becomes one himself.

Day 23 of Longbox of the Damned reminds us that genres can mix all the time. Moarte looks at a comic where romance meets murder and mayhem with The Horror Lovers.

Day 24 of Longbox of the Damned has us revisit another old favorite. Moarte returns to the pages of Eerie with issue 7 and sees if the comic can continue its great tradition.

Day 25 of Longbox of the Damned definitely gets the silver medal. Moarte looks at the pages of Silver Surfer, as the cosmic warrior encounters the heir of Frankenstein.

Day 26 of the Longbox. Hope you aren't going too crazy as Moarte looks at the beloved Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth.

Day 27 of Longbox of the Damned will drag you to Hell. Moarte revisits the horror manga Hell Girl with the second volume and more tales of seeking revenge from beyond.

Day 28 of Longbox of the Damned will kick things into high gear. Moarte looks at Monster Motors, which re-imagines the famous monsters in a car based setting.

Day 29 of Longbox of the Damned brings us back to anthologies. Moarte looks at the sixth issue of Ghosts from DC and some ghost stories based in a degree of historical accuracy.

Day 30 of Longbox of the Damned. The guy in the hat talked about it a lot, but now it's Moarte's turn to look at A Nightmare on Elm Street with some of the first comics ever based off of it.

It's Halloween and Moarte reviews the final comic inside of his Longbox. It happens to tie into the event Secret Wars as the Age of Ultron collides with Marvel Zombies.
