October is back once more and so is Moarte with his Longbox of the Damned. On this first installment, he looks at the underground comic hit and dark superhero epic The Crow.

Day 2 of the Longbox of the Damned. It's time to spiral into madness once more as Moarte returns to the town of Kurozu-cho for the second volume of Junji Ito's Uzumaki.

Day 3 of Longbox of the Damned will be most monstrous. Moarte looks at a comic launched after The New 52 where Frankenstein, as in the monster, fights supernatural threats.

Day of Longbox of the Damned continues down the assembly line. Moarte looks at some stories by horror writer Thomas Ligotti adapted into the comic The Nightmare Factory.

Day 5 of Longbox of Damned as its the Batman versus Dracula. Moarte looks at the first installment of a three part Elseworlds detailing the Dark Knight's encounter with the Vampire King.

Day 6 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte recommends a comic that's great for the kids. A horror story by the writer of Silent Hill comics, Children of the Grave.

Day 7 of Longbos of the Damned brings....well, it's all in the title isn't it? Humans and werewolves team up on their moon base to fight off a vampire threat. Even Moarte needs a good palette cleanser.

Day 8 of Longbox of the Damned brings up back to the cape and costume crowd. Moarte recommends Teen Titans Annual #1, where the team finds themselves in a town that isn't quite....right.

Day 9 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte takes a look at volume 1 of Infestation, where a zombie plague spreads across various franchises, including G.I Joe, Transformers, Ghostbusters, and Star Trek.

Day 10 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte decides to continue the zombie kick with a black and white ten issue miniseries from Marvel with Tales of the Zombie.

Day 11 of Longbox of the Damned mixes and matches genres a bit. Moarte looks at a crime drama filled with ghouls and goblins in Frankenstein's Mobster.

Day 12 of Longbox of the Damned reminds us that monsters can come in all shapes and sizes. Moarte looks at volume 1 of Kill All Monsters as giant monsters fight giant robots.

Day 13 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte takes a look at the first volume of the acclaimed Hellsing manga, as Alucard and the Hellsing organization face vampires and other dangerous foes.

Day 14 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte returns to an old series, Bela Lugosi's Tales from the Grave, with the third issue and more stories to give you goosebumps.

Day 15 of Longbox of the Damned brings back another older series. Moarte skips ahead a few issues to look at Creepy #12 and the stories that lurk within its pages.

Day 16 of Longbox of the Damned. Pets can be big responsibilities, as Moarte will soon show us with the first volume of the horror manga, Pet Shop of Horrors.

Day 17 of Longbox of the Damned. Moarte looks at a trade collection of comics featuring a human/zombie hybrid in Zombo: Can I Eat You, Please?

Day 18 of Longbox of the Damned. Hell freezes over and demons invade the world. Only the magicians of Earth can stop them in the DC event series Day of Judgment.

Day 19 of Longbox of the Damned. What would you do with the power to kill simply by writing a name? Moarte looks at volume 1 at the beloved manga Death Note to find out.

Day 20 of Longbox of the Damned brings us a superhero who knows how to ride. Moarte looks at the comic book origins of Johnny Blaze, the first Ghost Rider.

Day 21 of the Longbox of the Damned will take us down under. Moarte looks at a collection of EEEK!, an Australian comic anthology series featuring individuals messing with powers beyond their control.

Day 22 of Longbox of the Damned brings a terrifying character. Moarte looks at Terror Inc, as the title character begins to steal the talents of others for his own gain.

Day 23 of Longbox of the Damned tells us that our ancestors are important. Moarte looks at volume 1 of Dracula Everlasting, as a descendant of Dracula soon learns of his cursed bloodline.

Day 24 of Longbox of the Damned brings us tricks and traps. Moarte looks at The Secret Adventures of Houdini, Book 1, and some fun adventures featuring the legendary magician.

Day 25 of Longbox of the Damned brings us back to the House of Mystery. Moarte looks at the 1991 incarnation of the comic with a little story called I...Vampire.

Day 26 of Longbox of the Damned has us boldly going where no one has gone before. Moarte looks at two issues of a Star Trek comic where the Enterprise crew uncover something sinister.

Day 27 of Longbox of the Damned brings with it a nasty stink. The ocean rises up against Moarte as he looks at the first issue of Junji Ito's horror manga Gyo.

Day 28 of Longbox of the Damned brings us back to 1972 when the Comics Code Authority calmed down. Moarte introduces us to the first issue that brought Dracula into the Marvel universe with Tomb of Dracula.

Day 29 of Longbox of the Damned has us revisiting Cassie Hunt. Moarte looks at the second omnibus of Hack/Slash and all the ways slasher killers get their just desserts.

Day 30 of Longbox of the Damned will be red and blue all over. Moarte looks at the story The Haunting of Skull House, as Captain America faces ghosts both long dead and all too recent.

Halloween arrives as the Longbox concludes. The nightmare is never really over as Moarte looks at the sequel to Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash: The Nightmare Warriors.
