Foggy takes Cleggy and Compo to see a refurbished steam train, but can they catch it in time?

Foggy intends to raise a large Union Jack on one of the hills outside of the village, but first he must coerce Norman and Compo into carrying a flag pole up the hill.

Foggy is still intending to raise a large flag, but he is also still in need of a flagpole. Ivy has booked a private party in a room over the Cafe.

Sid is seen sneaking around the woodland carrying a bedroll. A distressed Nora Batty informs Compo, Foggy and Norman that Wally is missing.

Compo, Foggy and Norman are bored and cheerless. Wally Batty is making hammering noises in the basement. Norman and Compo are distressed that Foggy poo-poos Yorkshire superstitions.

Compo wants to try hang-gliding so Foggy insists on knocking him in shape.

Foggy is now pushing Compo to go hang gliding and has even had a glider built, but it has a rather odd shape.

It is midsummer yet Foggy drags Compo and Norman out Christmas shopping to avoid the holiday rush, but the area merchants are having none of his foolishness.

With Christmas approaching, the trio decide to invite long-lost friends from the town for a drink at the pub on Christmas Eve.
