Stevie Allman tells investigators that two men threw flammable liquid to her house in Oakland. The pressure to find the perpetrators intensifies. But further analysis of the crime scene would take the case in a startling direction.

Palo Alto Police and paramedics respond to a 911 call. Kristine Fitzhugh has fallen down the stairs. She's not moving, and there's blood. Paramedics try to save her, but it's too late.

Early of the evening of February 24, 1999, a young man returns home to find his back door broken. He calls police to report a possible burglary in progress. Across the hall police discover the body of Peyton Tuthill in the man's bedroom.

On the early afternoon October 29, 1987, a telephone operator gets a frightening call. Minutes later police arrive at the crime scene In San Francisco and find a woman on the floor in her garage.
