When Norbert's successful younger brother Eduard comes to visit, Norbert begins to brag about his own living and working circumstances.

Matthijs uses an inheritance to open a student bank account and just as his father feared, starts spending money left and right.

Matthijs has been throwing parties whenever his father's away. Once he catches wind of this, Norbert decides to come home early and crash the party.

When Matthijs practices a climactic scene from Othelo with his female teacher at home, Norbert can't refrain from giving his son some acting tips.

Norbert has had extra security installed and joined a neighborhood watch. When Matthijs offers a place to sleep to a dangerous looking fellow, he calls his fellow watchman Ronnie.

Matthijs and Guusje have organized a séance to contact Pinky the dead cat. Because Norbert finds the entire issue laughable, he excepts a challenge to spend the night at a haunted railway station.

Middle child Henriëtte comes to stay, seeking advice from her father. She quickly gets on Norbert's good side, but not so much on those of Matthijs and Suus.
