Toni gives Todd the silent treatment for betraying her by hiding his debt from her until they wed; Toni and Joan enjoy a spa day, until Toni's wedding ring is seemingly repossessed, by a high-end jeweler.

Lynn's frustration with her celibate boyfriend Sivad leads to mistrust, so she digs into his dating past; Toni finds it tortuous to live within her means when she must have an expensive luxury handbag.

Toni's brother professes his love for Maya, but Maya wants to keep things casual; Joan frantically cleans her house to distract her from obsessing over relationship decisions.

Ellis invites his agent Brock to a celebratory dinner at Joan's, unaware of Joan and Brock's history; Joan faces an ultimatum; Maya wants incentives from William for a job well done on a case.

Maya experiences financial difficulties when school tuition increases, and William tries to "help". Lynn house-sits for Joan, while she's away with Brock.

Joan throws a baby shower for William's sister and her partner, and some unforseen and unforgettable moments happen.

Brock invites Joan on a Las Vegas getaway, and she assumes he wants to marry her.

Joan questions her future with Brock after he confesses having children is not in his future plans.

A street psychic gives out love and relationship advice to passers-by, mainly Joan and William.

A newly single Joan tells Toni she's happy spending Valentine's Day alone, but Toni is not convinced; Williams gets Lynn to spy on a possible soul mate; Joan runs into an ex-boyfriend.

Joan organizes a charity auction. Tony starts therapy. Beverly Johnson guest stars.

Lynn starts a new documentary. The girlfriends like the perks from Maya's rich, famous boyfriend.

Toni brings her mother to therapy. Todd and Veretta argue and give Toni an ultimatum.

Joan can't seem to shake the funk at work but later worries her job is in jeopardy. Maya pens a fierce essay that impresses Ronnie's clients.

Jobless and restless, Joan impulsively starts a hotdog food court job, working for a compulsive perfectionist teen manager. After William flaunts his wealth, Toni, Lynn and Maya get even, but their retaliatory prank ends badly.

Joan hosts a dinner for William and his new woman Donna, who suspects William is in love with Joan. The girls keep losing their favorite restaurant table to some feisty newcomers.

William makes senior partner and has a new sexy date, but still feels something (or someone) is missing; Toni feels guilty about a rewarding massage experience.

Toni's breakthrough in therapy results in a breakdown of her marriage. Maya is not pleased with Joan's feedback of her manuscript.

Todd accepts a job in New York and doesn't want Toni to join him. Maya and Lynn are interested in a handsome neighbor.

Toni's calls to Todd go unanswered. Maya's new book catches the attention of a publisher. William confesses his true feelings to Joan.

Maya learns the publisher wants to satirize her book to make it more accessible to white readers.
