During a hygiene check at his sausage factory, Boma's accounts are blocked but he needs cash fast, so everyone gives him odd jobs, with dire results. Smelling an opportunity, Fernand ask his dragon sister Thérèse enough to bid on the soccer field, actually double the sum, but the team decides to sabotage the deal with lies, Pol posing as an unwilling Boma.

At Pascale's 50th birthday, people clearly considering her old, especially Carmen's 'therapy', drive her to a desperate makeover to attempt starting a second youth. In Boma's nightclub, she hooks up with sexy player Maxime. Bieke's reversal-pose as strict mother only works averse, yet only mark sides with Pascale. But Maxime end sup setting her straight must prosaically.

Xavier really seems to have lost all sexual interest in Carmen, so after badly following Boma's seduction advice, she throws him out. Pascal takes him in, offering the couch, but he soon gets to bunk with Mark, who soon regrets that on account of snoring. Meanxhile would be-handyman Mark completely wrecked Pascal's won bed.

Initially everybody laughs when Carmen claims her schooldays buddy Micheline Van Bel has offered to sponsor her application for the posh 'Tigresses' service club, as she utterly lacks the breeding to stand any test. However, eager to profit from networking trough her, Pascale changes her tune, while Boma even offers to play her husband and lend her his villa, on top of etiquette lessons. Xavier is commandeered to play the butler, the last straw for the team to vow they'll sabotage the plan, fielding Fernand, who is so desperate to find a mate he even tries tips from ...

After another lousy performance as keeper and due scolding as lazy incompetent near-lush, Xavier feels unloved and abandoned by mates and wife. Drinking himself -for solace- too tipsy to find the way home, having locked himself out of his car, he lands in the garage. Fernand, hoping to sabotage the next football match on his pigeons' great competition flight day, convinces Xavier to make the others miss him by staging an abduction. While Holmes-fan Marc proves himself the incompetent opposite of his hero as klutz detective, only Fernand enjoys himself as the others ...

Xavier reluctantly follows marital orders to take a course and become after hours insurance agent. Fernand is inspired to stage a robbery, antedate the policy and claim a fortune, even Boma takes a regular one and stages hefty damages. The apparent crime wave, duly doubted by Pol and his mates, inspires gullible Doortje and Mark to start a neighborhood watch, which clumsily and accidentally stumbles upon the truth.

Boma plans a miss election as publicity for his sausage factory. The men's delight as potential jury is soon spoiled by the jealous girls scolding them sexist swines, except Carmen who decides to enter as 'obvious winner'. When they Boma refuses to call it off, feminist Bieke declares war, but wears out Boma's patience by playing dirty first.

Bieke's weird new boss comes meet her in the pub, stirring talk, and lets deliver a top-notch PC, which Fernand -wrong address- eagerly keeps and sells to Pol, then hears it's a third of the price, but gets caught out. Xavier has a shot at promotion, if he passes a shooting range test, so Carmen appoints herself instructor and takes Doortjes' advise to feed him pigeon soup, accidentally giving Fernand opportunity to blackmail her for damage for his 'shot prize doves'.

Oscar Crucke is an innkeeper besides coach of the underachieving enthusiasts' soccer team F.C. De Kampioenen from Emblem, Flanders. Oscar is married to Pascale De Backer, a snobbish woman who wants to move up in life. Oscar and Pascale have a teenage daughter Bieke. They rent their cafe Cafe De Kampioen from Balthazar Boma, the team's chairman who owns the sausage factory Bomaworst. Boma challenges his marriage. He shows interest in Pascale while asking the impossible from him as a coach. Oscar is defended and much respected by his players: they are very close despite obvious incompetence and occasional pranks. Forward Pico Coppens is a self-confident man and is the best player on the soccer team. Whatever that means. He's a politically active high school teacher in technical subjects who repairs TV sets as an extra income. Pico is married to soft hearted bookkeeper Doortje Van Hoeck. Doortje can restrain her husband at times, though. Pico's the best of friends with goalkeeper Xavier Waterslaeghers. Xavier, as a goalkeeper, serves as a weak link in the soccer team, aged 40+. He's an army corporal, later a sergeant, but is dictated the law by his wife, Boma's cleaning lady Carmen Vandormael. Carmen pulls the strings while Xavier falls short between the sheets. F.C. De Kampioenen is thwarted by stingy car dealer and mechanic Dimitri De Tremmerie. Dimitri is the neighbor of Oscar, Pascale and Bieke and is referred to by the initials of DDT. DDT is a typical anti-hero who swears every now and then and comes up with nefarious plans but who wouldn't hurt a fly. Dimitri loathes the team but as they collude, his plans to bully are then defused.
