Eleven new celebrities are paired with professional dancers and perform either the Cha Cha or the Viennese Waltz for their first dance.

The eleven couples perform either the Jive or the Tango, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewer votes, is eliminated.

The ten remaining couples perform either the Paso Doble or the Foxtrot, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewers' votes, is eliminated.

The nine remaining couples perform either the Rumba or the Quickstep, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and the viewer votes, is eliminated.

The eight remaining couples perform either the Samba or the Waltz, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and the viewer votes, is eliminated.

The seven remaining couples perform either the Salsa or the Australian Smooth, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges's scores and viewer votes, is eliminated.

The six remaining couples perform two dances that they have not previously performed, to hit songs from the 1980's, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewer votes, is eliminated.

The five remaining couples perform two dances that they have not previously performed, then a last-minute twist spares the hosts from having to reveal the verdict.

The four remaining couples perform three dances, one that the judges would like to see again, a three-dance segue and a three-minute Swing marathon, which they dance in group formation as they compete for 10 bonus points, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewer votes of the past two weeks, is eliminated.

The three remaining couples perform a dance that they have not previously performed and a Cha-Cha face-off in which each couple will be on their own under the spotlight for 40 seconds, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewer votes, is eliminated. The final two couples perform a freestyle dance, then the couple with the higher combined score is announced as the winner.
