Eight celebrities are paired with professional dancers, and perform either the Waltz or Cha Cha for their first dance.

The eight couples perform either the Quickstep or the Rumba, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewers' votes, is eliminated.

The seven remaining couples perform either the Tango or the Jive, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewers' votes, is eliminated.

The six remaining couples perform either the Foxtrot or the Paso Doble, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewers' votes, is eliminated.

The five remaining couples perform the Samba, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewers' votes, is eliminated.

The remaining couples perform a dance that they have not previously performed.

The three remaining couples perform a dance that they have not previously performed, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewers' votes, is eliminated.

The final two couples perform a dance that they have not previously performed, their favourite dance of the season and a freestyle dance, then the couple with the higher score, combined from the judges' scores and the viewers' votes, is announced as the winner.
