To avoid cleaver fever, the competitors have to work with bacon popcorn, which is in the first basket; the basket in the entrée round contains lamb; the basket in the final round contains a mashed treat and a floral syrup.

The first basket's mix of ingredients includes mache and pickled sausage.

An odd mix of ingredients in the first basket, including mache and pickled sausage, has the chefs working hard to complete unique appetizers. Then in the entree round, the chefs must make squid dishes that impress the judges.

Competition begins with gyro meat in the appetizer round, which features hearts of palm as an ingredient. For entrées, the chefs must work with steak & donuts; and desserts are made from a classic American finger food and something sticky.

The competitors leap into action and take on seitan and mescal for the appetizer round. Later, they find a pre-made sauce and a large fish in their entrée baskets; and for desserts, they must combine a pastry with a pork product.

Teen chefs compete, preparing tuna and cereal in the appetizer round. Later, butchery is required in order to complete entrées; and dessert ingredients include a snack food and an Asian condiment.

Dishes, composed of escargot and biscuit dough, are served as appetizers; for entrées, the chefs work with an unfamiliar produce and an unappealing pate; and desserts are created using mochi and mango.

Something sweet is included in each of the baskets, beginning with a towering cake in the appetizer round. Later, the chefs need to incorporate a colorful dessert in their entrées and use a chocolaty treat when making their final dishes.

Ingredients that are difficult to identify are found in the appetizer basket. For entrées, the chefs must tackle a seafood surprise; and the two chef finalists must waste no time inventing desserts using jicama.

Whelk snails and lemon bars are found in the appetizer baskets. For entrées, the chefs each show their personalities in lamb shawarma dishes; and the dessert round proves challenging with cucumber salad as the featured ingredient.

Two sets of chef brothers battle it out in the first Chopped family feud. Ingredients include falooda noodles in the appetizer round; steak and cinnamon rolls for entrées; and desserts made from a Greek pudding and Japanese candy.
