Ben travels to west Wales to live with the Watkinson family. Matthew and Charis gave up their careers as vets to attempt to build a new life on the side of a rugged mountain in Pembrokeshire. But their new home is under threat.

Ben travels to Iceland to stay with 50-year-old Denni Karlsson, a former filmmaker who swapped the bright lights of Hollywood for the northern lights of his homeland and set up a wilderness centre exploring 200 years of local history.

Ben sets off from the wild coast of Northern Ireland to the rugged island of Rathlin where he stays with 41-year-old Rauri, a former HR executive who turned his back on corporate life to move into an ancient family heirloom.

Ben journeys to the Scottish Cairngorms and the edge of the mystical Clashindarroch Forest to spend a week with 70-year-old Jake, reputedly one of Britain's only hermits.

Mark documents his experiences as he tries to live a 'money-free' life. Ben follows Mark collecting water, winter foraging, fishing, sheep-wrangling and writing by candle-light.
