Bamse and Kylling play with leaves in the forest. They decide to play birthday but Kylling has no cocoa or birthday cake. The two talk about when Kylling came out of its egg and find things from their own baby time. They dress up and tease Ælling.

Bamse and Kylling pretend to be Sven Herlig and Dorthe-Elisabeth. They are on a hunt - hunting seagulls. However, everything goes wrong.

Kylling is upset and Bamse wonders how he can make Kylling happy again. He decides to make a circus and invites Kylling to come. But Kylling won't promise to come. Bamse practices hard on his clown act. But will anyone see it?

Aske gives Bamse two bags of sweets to share with Kylling. But Bamse doesn't fancy sharing. He decides that the sweets are in fact medicine which is too strong for Kylling. He then decides that some of the sweets are 'exchange sweets' if Kylling wants to swap for the harmonica. And later he remembers that Kylling can pull him in the play wagon and get candy as reward. Bamse is enjoying his power. But then someone gets a sweet stuck in his throat.

Does Bamse succeed in building what he has in mind?
