Tyler Florence competes against Anne Burrell in Season 6, which begins with 14 new recruits being selected for boot camp. Later, they learn how to make a romantic meal.

Anne and Tyler play a game of "Family Food" with the recruits, in order to test their gastronomical knowledge. Later, knife skills are sharpened before they attempt to cook paella.

The recruits experiment with flavor combinations when making crepes and internationally-inspired tacos.

Deep-fried fan favorites for game day are prepared by the recruits, who are also given the challenge of breaking down a raw squid for pasta with calamari.

The recruits make breakfast for meteorologist Ginger Zee; and cook in large quantities when catering a dinner party for past contestants.

The final four recreate their signature dishes from episode 1; and later, cook for family members, who will help decide which two recruits compete in the season finale.

In the Season 6 finale, the final two recruits compete for the $25,000 prize. The winner is chosen after they serve a three-course meal to a panel of expert judges.
