Iris Oosterlinck is the head of a flourishing family business and has a loving family. But when she becomes the victim of a carjacking, her life is turned up side down. Her baby Lily was sleeping in the back of the car and she suffers from a serious allergy. Witse starts a race against the clock to track down the kidnapper and get Lily back alive.

The owner of a newspaper store is found dead. His head was smashed in with a lottery validation machine. At first it looks like an ordinary robbery gone wrong, because the till was empty. But Witse and his team find out very quickly that there is more to the murder. Their suspicions were right when it turns out that the victim had won the lottery.

Marcel Moerman, an eighty year old widower, is found dead in bed one morning. He was choked with his head pillow. There are no traces off burglary. But his granddaughter Nele and his neighbour Suzanne have a key to the house. Through Geoffrey, Suzanne's grandson, Witse gets acquainted with the youth of today. But it also seems that the victim wasn't entirely innocent.

The body of a man is found in a neglected little chapel. Witse discovers that the man had an affair, but in the end chose for his family and changed his job. His eight-year old son has a chronicle disease and his devoted wife fills her days and nights with his care. Couldn't his mistress take the rejection, or was the turbulent relation with his father the key to the murder.

Chiara is only three months old when she is found dead in her cot. Couldn't Sally and Mario take the screaming of their crybaby any longer and have they shook her too hard? Or has a wave of burglaries, sweeping the dejected apartments, something to do with Chiara's death. Witse want to get to the the bottom of the case and tries to look further then the graffiti, the garbage lying about and the injection needles.

They are all stunned at the Federal Bureau when Jean Sercu, renowned cook of the restaurant Hof Sercu, declares he has murdered his young, talented sous-chef. The case seems solved when the body is found at the point where Sercu has lead them. Witse is not satisfied at all with the explanation of Jean and digs deeper. When he finds out that Sercu had plans to give away his business, Witse suspects Sercu wants to protect someone.

A servant of a bank is found dead in the vault and there is money missing. Even before Witse can start an investigation, a second incident is reported. This time it's a betting office. Strange detail: the robber let himself film, so they come to know his identity very easily. Is Simon De Wachter playing a reckless cat-and-mouse game? Witse takes up the challenge and soon finds out that the robberies are only the tip of the iceberg.

A hunter is found dead with a bullet in his chest. Witse discovers that the victim was a very successful surgeon en notorious womanizer. He also played 'doctor' with the wife of a colleague. He is not the only suspect. The whole hospital seems an intrigue of ambitions and jealousy. The investigation gets a twist when another suspicious death comes to light. Witse wants to investigate this, but runs into medical trade secrets

A parachutist falls to her death. Witse discovers that it was due to sabotage. Tania Verstraete was murdered in cold blood. When an important piece of evidence is found with the fingerprints of Tania's regular jumping partner Bram, the case seems solved. But Witse doubts if he has made a mistake about the murderer. Or even about the victim. Would it be possible that the murderer didn't want to kill Tania, but someone else?

Twice, shortly after each other, a body is found with the tongue cut out. Gradually Witse discovers it is about a settlement from years back. The murderer has waited 25 years for revenge and strikes now. The perpetrator is playing with Witse. Can he prevent a third murder?

The deadly car accident of fireman Sven Leyts doesn't only cause many emotions amongst his colleagues, but also raises a lot of questions. Why weren't his car keys in his car after the accident? Witse investigates this strange case. Soon he gets to know Joris Goeleven, father in law of Sven. Does he keep information from Witse to protect his daughter Elise? Slowly he gets closer to the combustible truth.

At a building site a body is discovered. This leads to the pharmaceutical company Houtteman-pharma. This is the property of the father in law of Peter Wijtinckx and is also lead by him. Witse discovers a trail of a synthetic drug business. With this he upsets a ruthless Italian mafia clan. Even Witse fears for his life.

After the dramatic murder on the wife of Peter Wijtinckx, Witse is pulled from the investigation. Witse goes on with his own investigations. When he discovers more than his new boss likes, he gets suspended. But when Witse is convinced Wijtinckx didn't kill his wife, nothing stops him to find out what is going on and who is behind it all.
