In the first episode Cory Brannigan discovers that the ventriloquist dummy Buzz, which his father inherited, can speak.

Tucker begins a life of slavish gratitude to Corey when Corey saves his life.

The Brannigans take legal action against a contractor after his crew accidentally removes a wall in their kitchen.

Cory submits a profile to a dating service and Joanna calls him. Joanna is an intellectually serious young woman who also happens to be beautiful and sexy. When she comes to the house Tucker who answers the door and poses as Cory.

Ed Brannigan attempts to boost Tucker's low self-esteem by employing him at the family restaurant.
