Oh, Tomoko. All she wants is just some attention. She tries so many times, but will she ever get a lucky break? She has trouble speaking at a food store.

Tomoko is to meet her best friend, Yuu. She advanced on to a different high school from Tomoko.

One stormy day, Tomoko attends school, but some unlucky events happen for her.

Tomoko tries to have an erotic dream, but only winds up having nightmares. On a train, she mistakenly thinks she is being molested. Tomoko ends up embarrassing herself by mistaking her newly bought panties as a handkerchief.

Tomoko thinks that most necessary for herself is "character setting". She tries to copy an animation character and a bargirl.

The shadows beneath Tomoko's eyes seemed to have disappeared. Tomoko is convinced that she become much prettier because she has enjoyed Dating Sim everyday.

Summer break is here, but Kuroki has no idea what to do. Later, she meets a male idol and has a few lines for him to say...

Tomoko grows anxious when she learns her cousin, Ki, is coming over, feeling she needs to look like a bitch in order to back up her tall tales. After a series of disappointing events, she starts to get a feeling of pity towards Tomoko.

Kuroki's summer is almost over, but she still has time to work at a cake shop, reminisce about childhood, and take in a meteor shower.

The second school term begins and Tomoko is still unpopular, and she is relocated into the center of the class, making it harder for her to be alone. Tomoko contemplates starting her own club, but it is denied due to it being too vague.

During the culture festival, Tomoko is unable to enjoy herself, but receives support from Megumi. The next day, Tomoko is visited by Yu. Noticing Tomoko feeling downhearted after Yu leaves, Megumi borrows a mascot costume to cheer her up.

Kuroki is determined to make something of her school year, hatching one final plan to grab people's attention. Later, she summons up all her courage to talk to Imae-san, the student council president.

Tomoko discusses her friends on how to make Watamote's 2nd season a success, only to be informed that it's highly unlikely. During middle school, Aomatsu had an encounter with a mysterious girl (Tomoko, playing around) on the rooftop.
