The misadventures of Frank Merriwell, a turn of the century Yale student. His escapades generally involve his pals under the disapproving gaze of girlfriend Elsie.

Smokey is an enthusiastic but bumbling novice fireman who often exasperates his chief Warren Packard. Smokey is also Warren's brother-in-law and lives with him plus his sister Blossom, leading to more humorous conflict.

Dental student Ted Penny is perplexed when absent minded wife Jenny brings homes $15,000 that isn't hers. She couldn't fit it in the safe at her job so the Pennys work to keep the cash safe which makes for a hectic weekend.
