Shinichiro is frustrated because he doesn't know how to express his feelings for Hiromi-the girl that he lives with. Later at school, Shinichiro is cursed by a classmate, and has bad luck for the rest of the day.

After insisting Shinichiro should believe her about giving her away her tears, Noe tells him of her mission to retrieve them.

Shinichiro and Noe continue their cat and mouse game (with Noe being the cat). Later, Jun and Shinichiro are talking, and Shinichiro suggests that Jun take Hiromi out, but then gets super nervous that he may actually go through with it.

Hiromi has settled into her own place, while Miyokichi and Aiko have resolved to be friends. Hiromi meets with Jun to break it off, but he still refuses. Later, when Noe doesn't come home, Shinichiro sets out looking for her.

Shinichiro is unable to sleep after hearing Noe's words. The following day at the festival, it's Shinichiro's turn to dance. Afterwards, he blows off Hiromi to find Noe, just as she's about to jump from the tree where they first met!
