Thomas causes and accident at Brendam Docks and blames it on an imaginary engine called Geoffrey. Soon, everyone wants to know about the mysterious new engine.

Cranky drops a special Christmas crate and, thinking he has broken its content, hides it from Thomas.

Henry and Spencer come face-to-face with an abominable snowman who turns out to be the Fat Controller.

Toad spots a whale on the beach at Bluff's Cove, but Oliver doesn't take him seriously until he sees the endangered animal himself.

Percy has to take some very important sheep to the spring fair. At the shunting yard, he damages his livestock wagon and every time he stops, some of the sheep jump out through a hole until there are none left.

Salty loves telling stories about the sea, but he ends up believing his tall tales when he is ordered to go to the Mainland by boat.

Mavis is sent to the dieselworks for repairs and Den is ordered to take her place at the quarry. He's nervous about working there without his best friend Dart.

Thomas causes Hiro to have a nasty accident and goes into the woods where he first found Hiro to look for some old spare parts to fix him.

Slow Stephen saves the day when he notices the Sodor Suspension Bridge collapsing and bravely stops Gordon and his express from crossing it.

Everyone is arguing about how many wheels are best, but it's Harold who saves the day with no wheels at all.

Thomas and James compete to get the spectators to a big football match at Dryaw, but cause a lot of confusion and delay.

Emily wants to be like sleek, streamlined Caitlin, but discovers being herself sometimes has its advantages.

Philip, an energetic diesel boxcab, arrives to work on the Fat Controller's railway and challenges Gordon to race. Philip sets off, unaware that Gordon is not competing.

Percy is to take the Mayor to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre to celebrate their one-thousandth rescue, but jealous Diesel wants the job and sends Percy to an old, abandoned quarry instead.

Bill and Ben are fed up with Timothy so they trick the Fat Controller into sending Timothy to help at Brendam Docks.

Thomas wants to see the other side of the mountain and gets his chance when he comes flying off the rails.

Thomas, Annie and Clarabel work through their break to help an exhausted new mother get some much-needed rest.

When Rocky derails, the Sodor Search and Rescue Team have to work together to rescue him.

Percy overhears some workmen talking and concludes that the Fat Controller is leaving the railway, much to the shock of the other engines.

The engines have had enough of Diesel's unhelpful ways and start a plan to scare him into being a more pleasant engine over the Christmas period.

Thanks to the other engines' ghostly tricks, Diesel becomes a very helpful engine on the day of the Earl's Christmas lunch.
