The fourth series begins with arguably the biggest development in the history of the programme: a new cast member by the name of Debbie McGee. Not only would Debbie be Paul's assistant for the rest of the show, she'd also become his wife.

Paul attempts to defy the laws of physics by using a rope to lift three heavy men simultaneously off the ground.

With the magic and mime of Tina Lenert and the heavyweight juggling of Markus.

Featuring the plate spinning of Eric Brenn and the smoke bubble routine of Tom Noddy, along with more tricks and illusions from Paul.

Johnny Paul demonstrates invisible cards, Hans Moretti slices an apple on a girl's throat while wearing a blindfold, and Paul attempts to turn back time.

With guest Jack Grossman, one of the two men who fired a gun at Chung Ling Soo as part of his stage act in 1918, resulting in his accidental death. With Jack's help, Paul recreates the famous feat.

Featuring the juggling act of Jean-Claude and Yvette, and the illusions of Omar Pasha. Also included on the show is Paul's attempt to pass through a wall of solid coffee mugs.

Featuring the classical magician Lance Burton, along with the comedy ventriloquism of Garray and Tomio. Also appearing as a guest with Paul is darts player Eric Bristow.

Paul's in a cheeky mood in this Christmas Special, as he has a variety of famous co-stars to help him with his tricks, but he claims not to recognise any of them. Among those being teased by Paul are Kenneth Williams and Lorraine Chase.
