Mike takes a look at family finances and finds trouble. He realizes he must take advantage of a summer scholarship program and take classes while wife Ellie proceeds with their plans and departs.

A young co-ed embraces free love and sets her attention on Bob. He attempts to rebuff the young lady but as they are both in medical studies Bob finds his life difficult.

Bob Wilcox treats a man who praises him in a newspaper story. The story identifies the patient as a prominent gay activist, leading Bob to worry that others might think he is also gay.

Lyle Ingersoll receive a longed for but surprise promotion to dean. The new position goes to Lyle's head and with the praise of his secretary he develops an outsized ego, becoming impossible to be around.
