He was in debt, having renovated hotel Seestein with wife Julia. Autopsy finds in his leg the bullet fired by passing-by client Katrin Börensen's service gun at a bank robber years ago. Prime suspect is his presumed robbery cahoot Uwe Vredesand, also apparently reformed since his marriage to beauty queen Nadine. Contractor Richard Allweede's corpse lies face in concrete under a scaffolding on a construction site where another expensive machine was just stolen, fatally shot. Fresh widow Tina left the firm when it started going down hill financially, years after their adult son and prospected successor, Anselm, left in strife, and was jailed for a robbery, yet inherits the firm. The team also looks into the construction workers, as the equipment theft may be an inside job. Fruit shipping company foreman Ulf Osterberg laughs away, albeit after a quick search, a worker's claim to have spotted a banana spider, as gas treatment id used on every cargo. Next his own fatally poisoned corpse is found, with spider bite marks. Osterberg was quiet and liked, but recently spent a small fortune in cash on luxury goods without apparent matching income. He may have sold off privately the significant portion of 'damaged' goods not actually worthless. Psychiatrist Sebastian Vossen's wife was beaten to death at home, so he cashes the fat mutual life insurance. He has mainly female patients, possibly having some affairs, but sticks to professional confidentiality of all files. Anonymously reported alleged lover Marion Stöhr, a former patient, may rather be a stalker. Patient Elke Schuster, who acts shifty, didn't register as Wismar resident, got home visits and hides another secret.

Industrial wharf climber Robert Jacobs's witnesses colleague Florian Redlin's fatal fall, due to an acid-sabotaged safety belt. Dedicated mountaineer Florian, whose Everest budget is unclear, beat up colleague Sascha Körner badly, being suspiciously well acquainted with his girl friend Linda Bremmekamp. Robert Jacobs never forgave Florian his part in Robert's accident, resulting in lasting hearing damage. The team also stumbles onto firm boss Astrid Gehrke's sadly dealings, while she realizes the belts got exchanged, so she may well have been the target.

Local rising installation artist Jan Brandt's corpse is found half-naked, wearing a plastic bag as if victim of a sexual asphyxiation game gone out of control, but preliminary study sketches are missing. Brandt's project already reached the press as a cleaning lady allegedly ruined it by removing what looked like a vulgar dirt spot, which however was his own blood. Snooty Wismarer Kunsthalle manager Stefanie Knecht seems mainly concerned with the possible impact on sponsors, especially wood trader Uwe Klaas. During a nocturnal delivery, pizza-boy Lars Nibbecke is knocked down and robbed, the only trace is from the brute's car. Nibbecke's girl friend, pizzeria-owner Pia, is shocked, pointing as enemy to her estranged husband Moritz Dankert, who runs a bitterly competing pizzeria. Pia didn't report Lars's lateness, as he often stayed away long with friends she ignores, which the team finds most interesting in more then one respect.

Nora Trulsen was fond skull-smashed in her social flat. Her parents Markus and Anne immediately point to her missing "asocial" boyfriend Holger Kalau. Nora's neighbor Patrick Seeger is notably suspicious, janitor Guido Schumann seems to keep secrets. A second corpse in a woodland sheds a whole new light in the case.

Diabetic shipping firm owner Peter Mehring is kidnapped, not heard from after ransom is delivered with firm funds liberated by business partner Steffen Droste, who claims bankruptcy was imminent anyway. Droste and Mehring recently rowed. Teen son Fabian Mehring was the last to hear from his father, texted during family holiday on Gran Canaria, which peter missed out on for unclear reasons. The team starts doubting that text, and looks into the knave's beach buddies gang.

Maria Soderberg's corpse floats under the rich family's boat house, near which the boat floats, from which the outboard engine is missing, as repeatedly happened lately with boats repaired by boat builder Torben Nebel, who points at employee Jörgen Pettersen, who did all five repairs. Sperm shows adultery, from sex in the boat house. Maria's visiting Bavarian sister Resi claims she kept travelling while the marriage was cracking for husband Jens's failure to plan the promised wailing trip around the world. Jens Soderberg's foreign business trip alibi is double-checked.

Senior Carl-Gerhart Hagemann was murdered at home, but living under a false name. He recently sold acquaintance Christa Grimm a gold bar for 30 000 Euro. Why are his daughter and son in law so nervous about that transaction? Before Carl-Gerhart Hagemann's head fatally hit a marble table, nosy neighbor Nolte, one of several ladies believing he had a crush on her, heard a loud row. Hagemann's tai chi-instructor Marco Müller suggests he only joined to flirt with riper lady members, notably Beate Langenbek and Christa Grimm, who may have been jealous.

Celebrity chef Knut Kollmar returns to "Störtebeker-Stuben", Jens Mannstein's restaurant, which his TV show saved from bankruptcy, but is fatally stabbed in the kitchen. Kollmar could ruin it if his latest review were negative. On his crew, only camera woman Petra Behrens seems to mourn the chef-presenter. Kollmar had an affair with cook Anne Mundt, who learn the trade in private lessons from him. The team looks into all restaurant staff.

Reuter's angling Sunday is ruined, as he sees a corpse drifting in the brook, and shortly after a second is spotted, his mate since school days. Both suffered cardiac arrest by electrocution. They used professional electric fishing equipment, but it was sabotaged. The team investigates trouble in and between their families, Thomsen Lieber. The equipment was bought as a make up gift by apprentice Roman Kirchner, a problem orphan with excessive ambitions to be virtually adopted.

Nurse Maren Kranz is found beaten to pulp. The team finds she moonlighted as 'lure', test-dating the husbands of suspicious women who engaged her employer Monika Gerstenberg's agency to check their fidelity, like lately slick jeweler Henry Mengers. Kranz's roommate has a suspicious rapport to her. Timmermann and Lena go undercover to test the agency's real, devious activities.

At Reuter's class reunion, former schoolmate Dr. Holger Wintrich, a plastic surgeon, is found beaten to death. The hotel door was broken, a valuable watch stolen. His wife Bärbel risked losing everything in a plausible divorce. Bank ranch manager Kurt Kaltenborn, also at the reunion, got into big trouble over credits he gave Holger, partially as private loan, perhaps under duress. Looking into Dr. Wintrich's clinic also proves revealing.

City permits section supervisor Mario Rösler's corpse floats in the docks, buy didn't drown, rather had a bad fall in the cellar, where he built a miniature battle reconstruction. Rösler always denied anonymous calls claiming he beat his wife Patricia. Employees Sandro Abel and Daniela Sopatschek -now hoping for the promotion he got by seniority- initially state he was a nice boss, yet later in private Sopatschek claims Abel rowed with Rösler, Abel claims Sopatschek had an affair with Rosler, both dismissed as slandering rivals. Benjamin Daniels's corpse floats at sea, drawn after a blunt blow on the head. His sailing yacht is found, but the dingy is missing, perhaps stolen by the killer. Daniels was to meet on the previous evening contractor Thomas Kofahl, who sold him the yacht due to firm trouble but wasn't properly paid and whose alibi, a Polish business meeting, falls through. Benjamin's sister has her own secrets.

Helena's rest home-resident aunt Margarete Fuchsolt claims she remembers after a lighting, the fall down a staircase that got her in a wheelchair was no accident, two persons pushed her, one calling the other Olaf. The home is about to be sold, but in the cellar is safe Margarete's late husband installed shortly before the incident, telling her not, nor about his borrowing from slick local loan-shark Heiner Lommack, who 'can't remember'. Margarete's estranged daughter Doris Rensing maintains it's all in the crone's imagination, but when a scrap of fake Swiss banknotes...

Investment adviser Frank Stargard was fatally beaten at home, having returned to town two years ago. He was unpopular and according to his bank doing bad financially, even ruined several possibly vindictive clients. He planned legal proceedings to stop neighbor Piet Jensen's dog breeding, complaining about the noise, which would ruin Jensen. Finally there's his brother Henning Stargard, a mystery woman, adultery and dog poisoning.

The wife of Eric Blom, who runs a diving school with Per Nordenberg, is murdered by sabotaging her breathing devise, prepared the day before to clear the gold balls from the club pool, a job planned for Eric as usual, so he may be the intended victim. Per claims she left Eric for him, the husband maintains she was about to leave Per and return to him. Dr. Steeger had his own bitter grudge for his drowned wife but failed to get the Blom contract canceled. Niles catches two knaves flying a model airplane over the links from a barely secured tool shed.

Artisanal baker Jörn Matthiesen dies when his mobile home explodes, due to a sabotaged gas bottle. Daughter Jana points at competing bakery chain "Baltic Back" boss Frank Wiedemann, to whom he refused to sell despite crumbled business and fought grimly with varied means, from dead rats to a 'civic initiative' run by Jana's lover Rem Larsen, who shamelessly lies and forges petitions, not without results. Jörn was recently deserted by his wife Bea. Wiedemann's home garage is damaged by a poorly constructed bomb.

In a clearing lies the fatally beaten corpse of Tommy Reichard, whom Reuter failed to get convicted as accomplice in a money truck robbery, due to an alibi from his present wife Jenny, then fiancee of his convicted cahoot Eddi Pranke, who was recently paroled. Near the clearing Timmerman finds hemp plants, grown by a teenager. Was the never-found loot buried there ? Leena goes undercover as weed-seeking tourist.

Inconspicuous Gisbert Heisenberg is missing except for a blood stain on the floor, his home thrashed, the best piece of his collection of porcelain dolls head-smashed, as valued by 'retired' master crook Hansen-Hansen. Reuter isn't amused with the sudden appearance and presumptuous attitude of Lennart Lorenz, who demands full and discrete cooperation, being Gisbert's handler at the Hessen witness protection program. A day before, Heisenberg gave cheap doll to neighbor Timmermanns daughter Maja.

Football (soccer) referee Peter Andersen was beaten to death in the dressing room shortly before a major regional match. Indications grow that he took bribes to manipulate several games. His last call was with colleague Evelyn Schubert, wife of coach Daniel Schubert and only daughter of his predecessor, Holger Jakobs, who openly threatened Andersen for alleged match rigging. Searching Andersen's proves he won improbable sums in Berlin and Danzig casinos, probably to wash bribes, and booked trips thereto with Rolf Galka, with whom he had a confusing relationship.

Groom Arndt Brückner leaves bride Simone longer in the rowing boat on the chilly lake then planned for the 'traditional' 'bride abduction' then planned, annoyed by the showy turning up of her obnoxious ex, Jens Kohler, whom she invited sneakily and almost started a brawl, still drunk and in love with Simone. Arndt's story isn't obviously true. Reuter keeps all wedding guests in the venue and his team also checks the catering family, whose teen son Justin sneaks off rudely. Jens Kohler has his own version.
