A female corpse floating in Wismar harbor is identified by Ole Rönneborg, whose firms offers yachts for charter, as Dana Niculaju, his semi-disabled mother's in-living Rumanian household help and de-facto nurse. Margot Rönneborg adored Dana, even wanted to go on cruise with her. Delicatessen owner Karsten Hendriksen, whose late father was Dana's previous satisfied customer-patient, actually still contacted her, even was seen given her a ride to the harbor quarter. Next to ER entry lies Ulf Lebowski, apparently died from cardiac arrest, actually kalium-poisoned, the night before he had to report for a prison term in Kassel for fraud. His sister Sonja Kalz lives in Wismar, yet claims to have had no contact in years. Ulf Lebowski's last meal was in brother in law Benno Kalz's restaurant, leaving after a bitter row. Workaholic Benno left the home to wife Sonja Kalz after their son Ole was hospitalized, allegedly due to a bike accident. Benno's mother Marianne, whom he stayed with, says she ignores where he was.

Unpopular, rich farmer Nils Landskron's corpse is found in his manure gutter. The alcoholic was fatally stabbed with some weird double-pointed object. His excessive use of pesticides was detrimental to the neighboring farms and bee keepers, yet green neighbor Alexander Sühlbecker was the one condemned in court to a hefty fine and lost his juice's Bio-mark. Nils's brother Mattes, once fresh widow Betty's first fiance, recently moved in at the farm.

Fishermen find the floating corpse of Judith Boll. She was fatally stabbed, perhaps mugged, on her birthday. She expected a managerial promotion in Rufus Eckmann's shipping company and recently got engaged with Simon Schaaf, who refused to join the collegiate celebration. Colleagues claim they waited in vain for her. Judith Boll sneaked out of office abnormally early and met a man. A key next to the victim fits her home nor office. The team finds locked-away dirty secrets, also involving the boss's wife Lisa.

Robert Brenner's badly mutilated corpse is found in his own taxi. The Brenner home proves the site of another crime, entered with his own missing, apparently stolen house key. No valuables seem stole, but in a cozy room the police finds bound-up Tanja Malewski, at first sight caught by an intruder. The teen brat ran away from her Bavarian home months ago and stays silent, apparently traumatized. The neighbor however never saw her or any girl in presumably single Brenner's home. Only a third party can make the plot fit, combining two plots in fact.

Career bitch and former club president Desirée Hiller is fatally shot masterly from outside in front of her golf coach Uwe Sowinski. Clearly horned husband Gregor points at the nature activists opposing the golf links, but their hothead teen son Markus, whom she always neglected, suggests some greedy fellow business shark. Desirée Hiller's new draft-testament reduced both men's share to the legal minimum, in favor of an unspecified 'future husband'. After finding the murder weapon, the team disproves a sudden confession.

His corsage fits Patrick and Jana Kronmöller's wedding aboard an old party yacht the previous evening, yet the families claim not to know him, including bride's mother Sandra Bosse. His suit label says Paul Schneider, emigrated to Chile, dental records Frank Heeg, declared dead after a presumed fatal boat accident twenty years ago.
