When Amanda wants to impress an older boy at school, she decides to get her first bra. Her plan doesn't go as she wanted and all of her classmates make fun of her.

Frankie starts hanging around with a bad crowd and smoking. But Busy tries to stop him she she pretends to be like how he is to hang with him again.

Busy has gotten her period and worries she will be a different person because of it.

After joining the swim team, Amanda is wishing her body looked more like Chrissy's. At home her parents try to lose weight for an upcoming high school reunion giving Amanda the idea to diet.

Busy and Amanda crash Chrissy's party and Justin and his friends show up and drink too much they and they then try to get Justin's friends to play a kissing game.

Chrissy's friends who are rich exclude her from a party. Chrissy wants to show them she can afford things that they have and she tries to get Amanda into shoplifting a sweater to show her how to be cool.

Busy's mom has a miscarriage and Busy blames herself and her family for not helping her out more. Also Amanda asks Justin to go to a party with her but is not sure to choose the party or the funeral.

Busy has a crush on her karate teacher but finds out he is gay and Busy wonders if being gay is wrong.

During an overnight band trip, Amanda accidentally walks in on Chrissy and Justin in a closet. When they don't return until the morning, rumors start going around.

Troy finally gets a job by working for Busy's father. But money soon goes missing and Busy's father fires Troy and shows that he is a racist.

Amanda gets paired up with Michael to do a report on evolution but their religions go against this. Michael gets a crush on her and learns how boys get to puberty.

A music band seems to have caught the eye of Amanda and Busy. Amanda gets the role of band manager and humiliates herself.

Busy's mother moves out of the house and Amanda throws a party thinking she might get her first kiss.
