The hall of a cozy restaurant turns into a scene of a cruel crime: a man who comes with flowers on a date is killed there. The witness assures that she heard the ringing of the chain and two voices. There are few clues, but the investigation, at the very least, goes on as usual. Leonidov, meanwhile, is behaving so strangely that Elena asks Maksimov to follow him.

In the underground parking lot, the driver hastily gets into the car, but does not have time to get under way: an unknown person makes his way through the hatch of the car and strangles him with a seat belt. The unusual knot with which the man was strangled makes Gnezdilov think that a sailor or even a ninja is involved in the case.

Swimming master is found dead in the home pool. Before his death, he felt a sharp pain in his leg and at the last moment he was able to crawl out of the water. There is an accident, but the detectives have to work out other versions - what if the athlete died due to the intrigues of competitors? Maksimov notices that Elena is hiding someone's calls from him, and Gnezdilov decides to try doping.

Businessman Boris Barinov dies in his own bathroom. The drowned man is wrapped in chains as if he were participating in a Houdini-style trick. Gnezdilov, inspired by the magic tricks of the illusionists, tries himself in a new occupation. While Elena and Leonidov are arguing about whether to get a dog, Max and the Dog find out which of them is the boss.

The detectives attention was attracted by a large pharmaceutical company, where the course of the next experiment was disrupted by an unexpected reaction of the subject. The latter dealt with three doctors with his bare hands and escaped from the laboratory. Among dozens of jars and flasks at the crime scene, Gnezdilov noticed a bottle with the inscription "aphrodisiac" and discreetly pocketed it.

Straight on the streets of the city, unknown persons begin to hunt for a homeless person, kills him, and takes the body with them. At the crime scene, the Dog takes the trail to the forest cemetery. This is how detectives learn about a whole series of deaths, behind which are the same people - participants in a cruel urban safari. To get to the criminals, Gnezdilov is ready to sacrifice himself and transform into a typical homeless person.

A man attacks a girl right at the threshold of her own apartment. Recognizing him, she begs for mercy, but he shoots three times and hides. In the meantime, a dispute about gender equality erupts in the police, and Elena decides to switch positions with Leonidov. While he is bored in the laboratory, she is involved in the investigation of the murders of two women, who, at first glance, are not connected in any way.

The detectives are investigating the circumstances of the death of a famous lawyer. Max concludes that the killer was driven by personal motives. While Maksimov and Leonidov argue which of them knows Elena better, Gnezdilov conflicts with the animals - first a cat rushes at him, and then the Dog begins to chase.

During the wedding ceremony, an unknown person tries to kill the groom-forensic scientist. His colleagues, present at the celebration, immediately begin an investigation and try to find out if the bride was the real target of the criminal. Maksimov is doing business in a chic suit, even the Dog in the parade. Gnezdilov, as a cameraman, was able to capture only the legs of the criminal, but this turns out to be an important clue.

In a business center, criminals abduct an important boss in a sophisticated way: they pull a man through the window and hide in his own car. Elena has a birthday, and all the men of the department, together with the Dog, strive to please her. In parallel, Gnezdilov competes with a shepherd dog for the number of followers on social networks.

The theater actor puts on his hat and falls dead right during the rehearsal. Investigators have to find out who could need the death of a supporting actor. Meanwhile, Gnezdilov meets his uncle from Brazil, who promises him a huge inheritance.

The seance is abruptly interrupted by the death of the medium Malena. The visitor of the session is sure that the spirit of her deceased husband is to blame. Exploring the crime scene, Maksimov and Leonidov compete in observation. Gnezdilov is fond of Tarot cards and, following their predictions and the help of the Dog, unexpectedly helps the investigation.

Two drunk guys accidentally witness a murder. Maksimov finds a feather next to the corpse. Gnezdilov is again pursued by a streak of bad luck, but he does not lose optimism, and Elena and Leonidov are hiding something from Max.

In the parking lot at the clinic, someone attacks a doctor and strangles him. The offender does not act very carefully and leaves a trail, which the Dog quickly takes. Gnezdilov this time does not help in the investigation - he is either depressed or too happy. His emotional swing prevents Leonidov and Max from figuring out which is better - to be a family man or a free bachelor?

A model dies on the catwalk right during the show of a new collection of lingerie. To understand this case, the police will have to plunge into the behind-the-scenes world of fashion and find the criminal without the help of the Dog, whose nose unexpectedly let down the chief detective of the department. Gnezdilov makes interesting acquaintances in the beauty industry and intends to save the world through his transformation.

In a country house, shepherd dogs suddenly attack their master. At this time, a black van drives off from the house. The sudden aggression of pets makes Gnezdilov even more afraid of the Dog. Leonidov and Elena want to find out the details of Maksimov's personal life, who at this time is figuring out who is more worthy of the title of alpha male - he or the Dog.

A stranger in a black cloak and mask stabs a man in the wasteland, who before that throws out several large turquoise crystals from a case. Gnezdilov notices one of the crystals at the crime scene and keeps the find for himself. After that, strange visions begin to haunt him, and Maksimov suffers from severe headaches.

The killer disguised as a bum prepares to fulfill the order, but himself becomes a victim: the man is first hit by a retro car, and then an unknown person shoots him in the head. Meanwhile, Gnezdilov competes with the Dog in the skill of being inconspicuous, and Leonidov imitates Max in everything, which makes Elena very alarmed.

The members of the "aged" rock group are waiting for the ever-late leader. When he appears at the rehearsal drunk and approaches the microphone, he receives a powerful electric shock and falls dead. The group's photographer captures this tragic moment. Gnezdilov longs for the glory of a lone detective using a valuable witness. Maksimov notices the similarity between Leonidov and Elena, as well as the fact that the Dog has become similar to himself.

Elena turns to a hypnotist for help in order to restore the memory of the witness of the crime. Hypnosis works, but the testimony is of little value: the witness said that he saw how, after a morning run, a man was strangled by someone in a hood. Gnezdilov decides to test his resistance to hypnosis and thus only hinders the investigation of the murder.
