Tariq angrily finds Jasmine unwilling to break the rules to write his grandma her usual cardiac medication prescription. His and Hans's teams investigate the events at the medieval style farm run by Enno Rüfken, who was beaten unconscious by an intruding robber, yet worries most for his stepson Leander Karberg, autistic son from partner Annik's first marriage. Loot in a car leads Tariq to arrest never before violent ex-con Björn Herzog. Hans wins Leander's confidence to learn about his biological father Sören Resebeck, who links to everything.

Hans is especially tense as his daughter Ines's murderer, Tommy Prokof, is finally on trial. Behind closed doors, Hans's lover, key witness Ines Hauber, is dismissed, spelling an absurd acquittal without likely grounds for appeal. Mattes smells a rat when judge Friedrich Pistorius's wife Kordula reports a breaking and entering without theft, leaving behind a bloody chicken. The team finds likely blackmail with prostitute visit pictures.

Mattes looks for the van full of plants reported stolen by nursery owner Hannes Heufer, who points at 'green donation'-demanding imp Gesine Schwenkrad. Sge's part of an environmentalist squatting group, which tries to stop developer Peter Nolte turn Bremen city's green parking site 21 into a concrete parking lot. Both sides are surprised to find discrete relationships across the divide.

Pre-teen Leo Brenner shoots himself in the leg with a pistol he found in grandpa Carl's attic, where Leo's mother Susanne wanted to steal er mother's heirlooms from. The weapon was used years ago in a robbery Carl's brother René allegedly witnessed, but they both hide the link to ex-con neighbor Siegfried Kressmann.

Tarik's Turkish roots prove a cultural plus when he interrupts his potential brides app screening to investigate with Claudia the wounding by thrown stone of barman Tann in militant transvestite bar owner Koller's exposure-secured premises. THe only willing witness just indicates her Turkish shopkeeper Mahsud Aysin as suspect by identifying his truck. The grim new commissioner's authoritative style already alienated the team, but even Matthias fails to see why he takes Taris off the case as 'biased'.

Mattes and Melanie respond to robbery alert in fish snack bar "Kallis Kutterklause" which was vandalized and robbed of all seafood. Yet owner Kalli is more secretive then cooperative, being a dodgy petty criminal himself. The sandwich they bring from there to hungry Tariq makes him ill, as turns out due to fish from a batch Kalli stolen from a fishy monger, which also contained smuggled medication. That trails to Dr. Jasmin Jonas's colleague Dr. Evgenji Pawlow, who discretely treats patients without Insurance, and ultimately his supplier Waldemar Rebel, a big fish.

On the day captain Berger will finally resume precinct command, Wolle picks up his repaired ship model as welcome back office remodeling, but witnesses a purse snap. The juvenile thief escapes on foot after phone-alerted Hans gets injured tripping over another knave's bike. Wolle recognizes and pleads obvious innocence for Felix, son of his dance club partner Linda Hoffmann. After Hans spots the snatcher and hospital data identify him as Dennis Reimann, pieces are put together, leading to a kidnapping finale.

Claudia's son Max eagerly starts his police internship in the precinct, alas with only tame old Wolle as mentor, but proves himself a fine researcher. The daily cash receipts of Lars List and fiancee Iris Schwan's trendy restaurant were stolen at night without apparent lock forcing, so the trusted staff, who all have keys, are suspects, firstly Lars's ex Maja Urbancic, whose was found on site and suggests jealous Iris set her up. Tariq finds Maya's wheelchair-bound teen son Kristof, who was injured in traffic accident, carrying an even larger cash sum. .

Socialite yacht owner Peter Clemens complains about 'borrrowing' and alleged diamond watch theft by his marina neighbor, who is dragged to the precinct for questioning and turns out to be Franzi's 'chaotic' father, adventurer Karl-Heinz 'Rufi' Rufenberg. Hans leads the search for a bloody knife used in the stabbing of homeless Asmus Theissen, who is found having possessed and himself being robbed of the watch, which Peter's wife admits having given him, but she hides the motive from her past, relevant to the entire family.

Hans, Tariq, Claudia and Franzi investigate copper thefts from contractor Volker Beermann's building sites and elsewhere. Foreman Oskar Siebek has a record and suspicious hand wound, but there are family and business complications. ER doc Jasmin's illegal cleaning lady Malwa brings badly bleeding nephew Danilo to her, seeking 'discrete' treatment as he isn't even a legal immigrant. Both cases link over allergenic cement.

Just-released ex-con robber Mats Kurschmann finds his ex-wife Sylvia Kurschmann, who runs a fish shop, unwilling to put him up or at last return his things, The police gets a call from customer Harald Jorgensen, who runs but is easily traced, while another, doc Helen Anneza who claims to have defended her against Mats, is blamed for the brawl, for which Mats is deterred from filing a formal complaint. Son Lucas Kurschmann mistrusts Harald as Helen's admirer. The team suspects Mat's never found loot may be key.

Alexander Hagemeyer's high-pregnant wife Silke is rushed to ER, badly wounded, after a purse-robbery at the Elbe, but ex-con suspect Pieter van Graal dumped even the cash. Her story doesn't check out and colleague Grit Seidel sent threatening notes. Alexander seems focused only on the long-wished child, but may not be the biological father, receiving pictures suggesting Silke had an affair or a sperm donor deal. Melanie poses as wish mother to set a trap.

After tripping over a abandoned bicycle, Mattes hears a noise in the basement of the Pilz family, where the wife falsely reported a robber, investigates and gets a blackout after Melanie, who came after him, was shot. Mattes is suspended during the IA investigation, but can't stand by and elaborates the theory that Peter Pilz's teen son from his previous relationship Finn Wedekind, who owns the bike, is key as robber, although no theft is reported.
