Karl works as an economist, and Nils as a janitor at the same company, they both ends up getting fired on the same day. Karl is separated and the homeless Nils moves into Karls house. Later Henry knocks on the door and ends up saving Karl from being evicted.

Karl is doing his tax return, and together with Henry he gets an idea of how he can get back at his former boss. Henry buys a answering machine, Nils does not quite understand what these things are, he believes that there is a person inside. Notes: Elna, the mother of Nils is first mentioned in the series, when Henry is joking about Elna's hat.

Henry and the gang begins to give medical advice over the phone, but things tend to get out of hand. Karl has meet and made a date with Maalfrid, but he chickens out before the date. Notes: The first episode where Maalfrid is introduced for the first time, and occurs later in the episode.

The gang starts a dubious contact bureau to make money and ends up in a corner with a love-struck man.

Henry gets an unexpected visit from a unknown relative from America. He also agrees to watch the house and car for their rich neighbor. This fits well since Henry tries to impress his grandson. Nils goes to school to become more confident. Notes: Adam Ryen, who plays the grandson, is the son of the writer of the series, Tore Ryen. Henrik Scheele has his first appearance as the neighbor.

There has been a break-in at Karl's and the gangs house, and Nils is trying to secure the house. Karl is trying to quit smoking, after advice from his doctor. Notes: Sverre Wilberg's first appearance. He has some more guest appearances in the series.
