Ami James and three world-class tattoo artists open up a tattoo shop in Miami's South Beach. The four friends with apprentice Yoji hope to build a thriving business. They soon learn how hard it can be to own and run your own business. Welcome to Miami Ink.

The men of Miami Ink experience the stress of starting their own business and balancing their personal life at the same time. From filling the emotional needs of their clients, to one artists' proposal, the whole shop is overjoyed at their growing fam

Ami threatens Yoji with an ultimatum- if he doesn't improve his drawing Yoji is going to have to quit his apprenticeship.

The shop has been open for several weeks and the guys are adjusting to the responsibility of owning a business. From NYC to LA, each has become a renowned artist with celebrity clientele that wait months to be inked by the masters.

Yoji learns the hard way that he has a long way to go before the guys let him tattoo for real. The shop has a constant flow of clients and characters, including their first return customer.

Yoji and Brigette give birth to their daughter and the Miami Ink family gets bigger.

An Olympic athlete featured in the documentary "Murderball" comes into the shop to have Ami finish a tribal tattoo on his arm. The team bands together to help Yoji take his first step toward becoming a full-fledged tattoo artist.

The shop is really humming and all of the artists are keeping busy. Darren breaks his elbow, and the doctor estimates he will not be able to tattoo for 8 weeks.

Visits from family members reinforce the artists at Miami Ink's commitment to their work and to each other.

Ami decides to get back in shape to help keep him focused and energetic. Unfortunately, he exacerbates an old back injury and spends the next couple of days trying to recover. A woman wants Yoji to tatoo her, and the guys are hesitant to let him go solo.

Ami threatens Yoji with an ultimatum- if he doesn't improve his drawing Yoji is going to have to quit his apprenticeship.

This program brings together a brotherhood of tattoo artists.

Tensions flare when Ami skips town just as one of the worst hurricanes of the season is about to hit - leaving Nu?ez in charge of the shop. Darren tries to convince his wife Carolina to leave her comfortable Connecticut home.

Miami Ink is very busy. Garver designs a guardian angel for Paul to keep him grounded. Ami continues his Hindu-inspired work on Mike, who's down from New York. Another Mike gets a tattoo from Ami to remind him of the time he spent in Hawaii as a child.

Now that she's eighteen, Nunez can give Vanessa a tattoo of her obsession. Darren gives his father his first tattoo, and Nunez helps Danyel keep her mother's memory alive.
