Chris Nuñez, who is of Cuban & French descent, grew up in Miami. He made his artistic mark on the world during his early teen years through street graffiti. Chris is very close to his family, his father was his best friend. At 16, Chris's, first tattoos were the names of his parents. Then when, Chris was just 18 his father passed away, leading to rebellion & reckless partying for the next few years.Tattoo Artistry is a positive direction from graffiti; Chris is very grateful that the path of his life lead to an apprenticeship while in his early twenties. Escalating his skills as he worked his way up from cleaning, running errands, fixing machines, to background work, learning the fundamentals of how to tattoo.Throughout the next two decades in the tattoo industry, Chris's craft grew as he honed his artistry skills in various styles, but the genre he is best known for is the traditional Japanese Style. As an entrepreneur, his professional tattoo businesses include Handcrafted Tattoo And Art Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, & Love Hate Tattoos on Miami Beach with Ami James.He was a cast member of the TLC network's reality show Miami Ink. It was on an episode of Miami Ink that Chris was tattooed by his mom. She tattooed, "Mom" on a clear spot of his lower left calf, and Chris tattooed his sister, Christina. Then in January 2012, Chris was cast as a judge on the Spike network's reality competition, Ink Master, in which tattoo artists compete in challenges assessing their tattoo & related artistic skills.Chris is a partner in the media corporation Ridgeline Empire, which operates the subsidiaries Ink Skins & Upset Gentlemen, as well as an animation studio with two animated series: Hoodbrats &Toothians.Chris has never been married but is the father of 2 children, a daughter, Kali, (who lives with Nuñez & his family) & a son, Anthony (who lives with his mother in California).Through Chris's life he has lived (& studied) in Brazil, Ecuador, & in parts of Europe, Germany, France.
