The roof in the church collapses, destroying Amaar's apartment. Amaar learns that he can never live there again as when Sarah tries to get a building permit to make the necessary repairs, the city informs her that the zoning of the building does not allow any residential use. Yasir is back in town, as are Amaar's parents, for Amaar and Rayyan's wedding. Things have changed in Mercy since Yasir left, and he's feeling a little obsolete. Meanwhile, Amaar and Rayyan have decided that Amaar will speak to Yasir and Rayyan will speak to Sarah about their decision to move to Montréal. But each time Amaar and Rayyan get close to telling Yasir and Sarah respectively, something stops them.
