Nancy's old friend, Richard, comes to visit, but he is wanted by the law.

Grant wins a contest to go to Hollywood and while he's away Garry finds a love poem Grant wrote and reads it to the audience.

The platonic relationship Nancy has with Garry is questioned when she losses her memory.

Garry goes on Love Connection (1983) and meets his dream girl, though Garry has misgivings.

While Garry's away, Leonard seizes the opportunity to showcase his talents. Angelica finds adjusting to life in the spotlight difficult.

Garry experiences Christmas woes: his guests all leave his party early; and his mother gives him his father's watch for Christmas, but it goes missing.

During Garry's opening stand-up routine, one of the studio audience members dies from laughing too hard. Distraught over this, Garry considers quitting the business, but Carl Reiner suggests that he talks to the dead man first.

In exchange for Grant installing a new VCR, Garry takes him and the gang to Shandlingland - a theme park based on Garry. Garry meets his neighbor Mr. Sparks.

Garry coaches Grant's soccer team but has to deal with the unruly parents.

Garry peeks into the lives of the people of his community.

Garry's old college professor drops by and rekindles the 60's peace and love movement.

In order to get more attention Grant tries his hand at stand-up comedy. The 'name the Schumaker baby' contest winner appears on the show and the baby's new name is revealed.

Garry is invited to attend two parties on the same night. Garry feels guilty when he leaves one party early, to go to the next, and tries to make amends.

When Garry doesn't show up for the opening credits everyone suspects something is wrong. Garry visits his Grandma in a gas induced vision.

Ailing comedienne Gilda Radner visits Garry together with her male nurse. Garry's neighbor, Leonard, recognizes him as one of his Vietnam war buddies whom he abandoned during a fight. Garry tries to help him literally face his past.
