Meishin is not the hospital it used to be. It is time for new management and a veteran takes over. She begins to recruit talent and manages to recruit several ace surgeons back to the hospital. part of the plan is education, part of it is taking on difficult procedures. A team needs to be put together. The regulatory environment has changed and there are new possibilities.

The Meishin Hospital is looking for international accreditation by IMA. This involves a live demonstration of the principles of management and patient care by international experts. The problem is that the surgery team does not have any worthwhile patients for this purpose. All patients are being routed by cardiology to the new 'black' team.

The greedy Noguchi is pushing his medical tourism plan and the first candidate is a former Chinese health minister. The man is wined and dined and shows little regard for his hosts until his prognosis comes in. A thirteen-year-old boy has been admitted to the hospital at the same time. His case is hopeless and he knows it.

It is a case of mistaken identity. Doctor Asada is on the floor after falling from the hospital's roof as he was saving a young patient who had lost hope. With Asada down and doctor Kato in the middle of a different surgery it falls to Ijuyin to return to the OR and take over, but it takes a lot of persuasion. n the meantime, a relieved mother is with her son in their hospital room.

Asada is suffering from amnesia owing to his fall, but his patient the young boy triggers something in him. He is needed for a critical surgery in three weeks. Kato's patient is the wife of his former fiance. She walked away from that relationship to devote herself to her work, but may be regretting it after all. The surgery is quite delicate.

Asada is suffering from PTSD following his heroic fall. He is unable to conduct the surgery despite his best attempt. With the revelation Doctor Kato take over the surgery of the boy who has placed his fate and trust in Asada's hands. The boy is on his last legs and his mother is at her wit's end. The surgical team relies on teamwork. Something goes wrong.
