Eighteen aspiring chefs from across the country, 23-years-old or younger, begin the competition.

Both teams are put to the test as they take on their first dinner service, preparing dinner for boxing legend Mike Tyson and NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, as HELL'S KITCHEN opens its doors for the 300th time.

The chefs are challenged to replicate the very first challenge in HELL'S KITCHEN history - breaking down squid perfectly. Later, it's "Chicken Gate"; Gordon discovers the Blue Team served up raw chicken during Dinner Service.

The chefs must make brunch for 60 hungry Caesars Palace employees.

Both teams must work together to decipher recipes written in emojis. The newly formed teams must learn to work with their new brigades.
