Ome Willem is celebrating his 200th appearance on television, which he sees as his 200th birthday. Jan Klaassen, having been on TV just as many times, decides to throw a rival party of his own. Guests include Snowwhite, Meneer Kaktus, Mevrouw Stemband, Kweetniet, a fireman, Hakim from Sesamstraat, Meneer De Uil and Chico Lama from De Fabeltjeskrant and even her Royal Majesty the Queen.

Ome Willem decides to read a fairy tale. August takes on the role of Little Red Riding Hood because he played her once before at school. Of course Ome Willem claims to be a great thespian himself and dresses up as the Big Bad Wolf.

Ome Willem has a brand new over sized toilet all to his own. August is not allowed to use it. When Ome Willem suspects someone has tampered with his giant W.C., he tries to scare August into thinking there's a monster in the toilet called a 'Plee-Bek Beest'.

Ome Willem sends August to bed early (actually, he has to sleep in a basket next to the piano) so he can watch a western on TV alone.

Ome Willem wants to go see a comedy at the cinema. Jan Klaassen has tickets to a western (even though Katrijn doesn't enjoy cowboy pictures). Boef will babysit Jantje but August's sitter, Paultje, cancels because his mother is ill. So, August has to stay home alone and becomes afraid that giants might come and visit him at night. On top of all that, De Geitebreijers leave to go see a nature film and Boef proposes to teach Jantje how to burgle. He sets his eyes on Ome Willem's drumsticks. Ome Willem returns home early after arriving at the cinema too late, and decides ...

August's grandmother, the one who taught Ome Willem to sing 'Deze Vuist' is coming to visit. She brings along an enormously long scarf for Ome Willem and a monstrous brown colored sweater for August. Jan Klaassen is also playing host to Jantjes Gran, who leaves a talking pullover for her grandchild.
